stick decision help

Recommended Posts

hey guys. Birthdays coming up and figured it would be a good time for a new stick after using my nbh one70 for about a 2 years. My budget is around $150 im looking for a discounted top of the line stick with a naslund type curve. I saw the dolomite HD for $140 but they only have the draper curve in a 75 flex. My one70 was an 87. so i dont really know if that would help or hurt me. only other stick that seems to be good within that price range with a naslund clone is the mission titanium. but my friend has said bad things about it.

so ive only been able to find a mission titanium and the dolomite hd. Of the two which one is better and do you have any other suggestions for sticks. ive also seen the ccm u+ but only comes in a recchi and thornton and i dont know if those are similar to the naslund curve at all

Recchi is close, but it's less open. Thornton isn't. There may be some easton sticks you can find, the Sakic is the curve you would be looking for. Synergy elites were good, they should be in that price range these days. And they're easy to turn into shafts when (and yes, it's a when, not an if) the blade breaks.

If you are LH, here's the draper:

I wouldn't change your flex if you feel comfortable now. I also wouldn't go with a CCM - there isn't a close enough curve to the Naslund/Sakic/Draper. You could also go with a TPS in a Nash curve.

Regarding the Mission Titanium, i found that it shot well but the blade fell apart quickly. The old Mission Ti was the best shooting stick i've ever had but it too had blade durability issues.

if my mind serves me right , the naslund is close to a 23 jofa 4020 curve ....if so , there's not many full composite sticks that match .........I know , as a teammate wants one and I was looking yesterday to see what could fit ...if you want , I can post my results later ...I found 4 matching sticks , in and below your price range ....

forgot to say im a righty. The thing about the flex is the one70 was my first composite and i've never used anything else so I dont know if i would benefit from the 75 flex or not. Ive found the ccm u+ in a lecavlier pattern which seems close to a naslund. is that any good

I have the CCM octogun 30 in the Lecavlier pattern, it's just a cheapy backup stick that I use occasionally. My main twig is an Easton SE Sakic, and a main reason I went with the Lecavlier pattern is because it is VERY close to the curve for Sakic. It has been working fine so far, but the kick point is low on the CCM stick, so switching from my Easton to the CCM takes a little getting used to. My Easton flexes a little further up the shaft. The CCM stick has been very durable.

I don't usually recommend sticks here, but I would say shop around for a 87 Flex One95 in the P92 you like. You can stay with the exact pattern you are used to, and the One95 is, simply put, an outstanding stick in all respects and well worth the money. And if you cut your sticks down a lot or just want more whip, go down to the 77 Flex. I love mine.

Another option is to get a One95 shaft and blade combo, you could do that for around $150 online. Either that or the Dolomite would be a great setup.
