Most successful skate

Which is it? I'm pretty sure such data does not exist for the X60s and so on. but from the Vapor XXXX series and previous.

CCM Tacks?

Vapors?

Microns?

Daoust 301s?

You're saying best-selling/marketed skate over its cycle? Or are you talking about series/concepts?

I'd say Vapor series, and as far as a single skate, and I could probably get numbers for validate, I'm going to go ahead and say either Vapor XX or XXX (leaning toward XXX)

IMO definately the VAPOR series as a whole as they have had (and continue to have) crazy acceptance percentage-wise in the NHL (like the original Easton Synergy sticks) and would lean to the Vapor XXX specifically as far as individual models go

I'd have to guess that the XX had a good deal to do with the XXXs success... but I'm pretty sure the XXXs sold better.

So it really depends on what exactly the question is:

What sold more?

or

What had the most impact on the market?

I asked our bauer rep, he said he thought the bauer xxx he also said it had alot to do with the fact that not many xix's sold in comparisions to xxv's. With the amount of the xxv's being sold it had to have cut into the xxxx sales drastically. Was the xix that inferior in comparision to the xxx or what?

I was always under the assumption that the Vapor XXXX and its variants (XXV etc) sold better than the previous Vapors. I rarely see a Vapor XXX anymore, but see quite a few female players in the Vapor XX's, but rarely in men's league anymore.

Only "older" skates I see are the Bauer 7000/8000s, Graf 703/705/709 and CCM Tacks.

Which is a higher volume skate..The Vapor XXX or Vapor XXXX?

The XXXX is a tiny bit deeper and has a wider toe box. The problem with the XXXXs as a single selling model was the XXV, that was really a pretty good skate for the money.

I still see a good amount of Supreme 7000/5000s and Tacks. Pretty much everyone else around here is in Vapors, probably followed by the early Vector line. There's actually more Kor skates around here than Graf... thanks to hockeygiant.

I've yet to see a Kor skate this season. I wonder how those would have been with my skate depth issues?

If the shift 2 doesn't have enough volume for you, nothing will

To echo the earlier posts- Tacks had the most identifiable look for many many years, especially once the heel wedge came along.

Once the vapor xx came out everybody was in them. They just exploded into locker rooms and haven't let up.
