Ryan Kesler, take that comedy to Hollywood.....

Asham may not be a pussy but a coward would definitely describe him. It takes a big man to throw punches at a guy being held down by the referee, and then cross check him three times off the face in hopes they'll fight you.

I don't care for either of them, but as much shit as Cooke talked in the penalty box, he should have fought him on the draw.

Maybe Cooke shouldnt have alledgedly bit Asham in the pile which lead to the punches by Asham than ran his mouth in the box which led to the challenges that Cooke begged off on. Its all part of Cookes routine though.

Kesler calls Ladd a coward; only moments later, spurred by this example, Dan Cloutier calls Jon Quick a gutless sieve.

He wouldn't of needed to do that if Cooke dropped the gloves instead of dropping to the ice.

So skate away and laugh. Simple

Not really - it's a cheap trick to escape from a fight, and maybe split the other guy's head open on the ice while you're at it. I'm sure Kesler would have been crowing about that for weeks.

I honestly don't know when idiot sportscasters started counting "takedowns" as a win in fights, but I'd guess it has something to do with MMA - and I know for damn sure that it's greatly increased both the number of stupid, dangerous wrestling matches and the number of head injuries that result.

Hell, even Chara, who's trained as in Greco-Roman and has a reputation for ending fights with leverage, doesn't pull shit like this.

What Kesler did was the gloves-off equivalent of slew-footing, combined with a generous measure of turtling when he buried his head in Ladd's crotch after taking that straight left.

It was actually pretty cool the way Kesler lifted the other guy's leg and flipped him over.

Did you forget the sarcasm face.

I really do hope you didn't think that was cool. That is a guy that wants out of the fight and is willing to injure the other player to get out of it.

Kesler calls Ladd a coward; only moments later, spurred by this example, Dan Cloutier calls Jon Quick a gutless sieve.

Well done Law, well done. Man people love to crack on Cloutier.

Ryan Kessler, the only reason why I'd root against team USA. He shouldn't have been even considered. The guy is a worthless hockey player. You want a real tough guy who won't back down from anyone... Cal Clutterbuck.

Clutterbuck may not back down but he sure ain't tough. He fought ott twice last and got handled quite easily both times.

Ott and fight in the same sentence without the words "refused to"? Huh.

It's one of those "don't look too hard in the mirror" things.

I'm just waiting for Clutterbuck to switch to one of those Heatley/Weinhandl shields so he can start fighting more. That stock Oakley isn't quite big enough to hide behind, but get one that goes down to his chin, crank down the chin-strap, and he'll be throwing haymakers and making belt-gestures all night long.

Haha I know it is odd to be saying Ott actually fighting but it was Clutterbuck so take it for what it's worth

yeah, kesler can't fight, and as a canucks fan I shook my head... I wouldn't say he's a coward, he does a lot of gritty things during the game, but fighting isn't one of them.

The real funny thing is, was Ladd's retort, something to the effect of 'I do my talking on the ice'

ladds a punk and a little bit fey

Kesler will learn.
