How much do the new ST's weigh? Old ones were heavy lumbers lol!

As far as I can tell, the feel the same as the old ones. I couldn't tell the differnece between the new one and the old blue one other than the paintjob. It's pretty well balanced so I wouldn't worry about the weight unless you need the lightest stick out.....

No don't need the lightest stick out there! Actually I think the s19 is too light. SE's are perfect weight I think. Are the curves the same as the old ST or more like the SEs (sakics)?

When you mean new shaft feel are you talking about the Grip vs the slick Flat Paint Jobs? Or actual shaft shape? I was under the impression the new ST used the same shaft as the older ST.

IDK about the curves. My friend had the new st with a zetty curve and I had the old blue one with an iggy curve

yeah, sorry. the paint job. its not flat, it's nude. and because of the absence of a layer of paint covering the entire shaft, it has a different feel.

as far as i know, all the curves remain the same, with the addition of the Chara, which is Heatley with a round toe. the catalogues are viewable here

Ahh ok. The "nude" graphics look pretty sweet. Actually both graphics look pretty darn cool. But the non grip looks absolutely sinister with the flat black look. >:)

It definitely has a very slick feel to it, almost too slick. I wouldn't mind the feel of it when my nash palmed gloves wet. But that shaft with an MSH2 palm would be way too slick for me.

what does this stick have to offer in comparsion to other high end sticks? dangler stick or a shooters stick? mid flex or low ?

One word. Durability! I alternate between a Pro Stock One95 and the 2009 Pro Stock ST. I honestly like the feel of the ST better. Shaft is a bit thicker and more comfortable in my hands. I know this thread is asking about the new ST but I thought I'd share my experience.

it has durability to offer. that's the only reason why it's stil up at around $180-190 cdn.

Granted I haven't used an St for a couple generations now but my experience with them was that they were a very well rounded stick. Great price for a top of the line stick that provides great durability, decent puck feel and a decent release. It won't snap your shots like an s19 but it won't torque out like a low end one piece.

interesting anecdote:

a shop near me sells pro stock STs for $150 and higher end retail closeouts for the same price. the closeouts FLY off the shelves. interesting lesson in perceived value.

The Easton ST is a good, all around stick and very durable compared to other high end OPS products. Easton seems to be the Graf of the hockey stick line. Offering a different high end stick for different players with the SE, S19 and ST

I mainly use a One95 or TPS XN10 chrome or One95 shaft/blade combo, but for the summer, I bought an 09 ST on clearance at Pure Hockey for $115. Perfect stick to use for non-league games this summer.
