coolpeoplearewildfans 0 Report post Posted June 8, 2010 I was using a Torspo 221 clear coat, then i started using a nike bauer one70 that had a grip coating. The nike broke and now i cant seem to get used to the clear coating on my torspo and new dolomite dd(they were out of grip in the prostock). is there any spray or something that i can use to get the stock grip coating feel? SCUBASTEVE 0 Report post Posted June 9, 2010 i use this stuff called plasti-coat. it is used for rubberizing handles on tools ar what not, i found it at the hardware store, 5.00 per can an you can probably do 10 sticks with 1 can. works great. an it also adds another coat of protection on your stick... it has been 6 months since i put it on my primary stick an it is still on there like the day i applied it... coolpeoplearewildfans 0 Report post Posted June 11, 2010 i had heard of ztedge but havent seen it at any shops and the website doesnt seem to be there anymore so i figured it was gone. i dont really care for the whole candycane tape, and what id really like is a soft bauer stickum type grip. I'll have to stop down at the hardware store and give a plastic dip type spray a shot. its too bad noone sells the same grips manufacturers actually use for this purpose. youd think custom grip coatings would be pretty popular. But if you play a lot it's no different than the marks you would get off of pucks and random play.Use white tape, not black.What I like is you can apply the tackiness heavier up high on the stick where you hold it while stickhandling....and just put a bit of grip lower on the shaft where your lower hand slides when shooting.
