Hespeler OPS? and white CCM U+ skates

Figured, I'd just post both comments/questions in one post...

First, Hespeler (as it used to be known at least) is now defuct is it not? I saw someone at the arena last night, using a Hespeler Patriot OPS. Anyone know anything on this stick? I assume it is a low end, entry level stick or SMU? Who owns the Hespeler name now?

Secondly, one of the kids skating before my daughters' travel try outs, had what I believe are CCM U+ but in white leather, and I tell ya.... they looked sharp! White with shiny chrome type on the boot. I had never seen these skates before. I would assume these are a custom????

Hespler Patriot is an old stick from a while back.

Those sound like Customs to me.

The Patriot was not intended to be a low end price point at the time (although, suppose it might be considered that way now as there's probably been a lot of advances in the last 5 years since those were made). There are probably still threads around about it if you'd like to search.

I was pretty certain they were no longer around, and was very surprised to see the name on the stick. I do still have an old pair of their elbow pads I use though.

I had a a couple Patriot OPS, I liked a lot of their products at that time. Good feel, performance wasn't all that great. Forzani group owns the name now.

Are you sure it's U+?? CCM had a skate in the old vector line that was white and chrome. I think I almost bought that. V8 or V10 maybe?

I am not sure, saw them from a distance, but they looked like the new line CCM. Very sharp looking skate! Attention grabbing for sure. Not sure if I would want a pair like that, as I am not one to draw attention to myself with gear/skates, etc.

Ahhh I gotcha. I remember now. I almost bought the black V10 skates. The ones made like ovie's. Those were pretty nice too. I'm a total attention whore. I had orange gloves a while back.

the hespler comp sticks were made by innovative, before they were bought by warrior. innovative also made bauer comp sticks up to the xxx lite.
