Mission 2011 Axiom

Recommended Posts

Mission Hockey has just released a teaser video of their new line of products, no real info yet other than the name "Axiom". I'd be assuming we can say goodbye to the syndicate line (it has had a good run though).

More details or at least teasers will be out on july 2nd.

I was almost a little suprised that Bauer kept the Syndicate names through this cycle after the merger but I guess since they kept the same basic designs and the majority of the changes were cosmetic and the size conversion it made some sense.

It will be interesting to see how much of the roller style and roller specific features will carry over in the gloves. It just seems a little odd for them to keep what would be in essence a 4th line of retail gloves. (Supreme, Vapor, the 4 Rolls and now the Missions) Sorry it took so long to correct the double post.

I think if you head over to the IIHF page for the Inline worlds you can see a preview of the new Mission gloves on the guys who play for Canada.

Based on just the pictures provided by the International Ice Hockey Federation, I don't like the look of the 2011 Mission Axiom Hockey Gloves that Team Canada is wearing. The triangular block of silver on the white hockey gloves stick out like a sore thumb.

Refer to the following link for pictures of Team Canada at the 2010 IIHF Inline Hockey World Championship:

By the way, does anyone know where I can watch the games online aside from MyArena, which is charging $6 per game? I know last year all of Team Canada's games were available on the Antons Sports Corporation website.

Hey guys,

The new glove still carries roller features and has a bold new look. Axiom is our first true run working within Bauer. It has been unreal making the transition and there are only better things to come in the next few years. We have had the opportunity to work with the best skate team in the industry and the progress on new roller tech has been huge.

The gloves the Canadian and USA players are wearing during the IIHF Champs are custom colors. We will launch the entire line in San Jose at the NARCh Finals July 16th. Really excited about the gloves and skates this year. We will have a full line up of fit samples at NARCh, Player and our new G.7 Goal skate. We think the line looks fantastic but we will wait and see what everyone thinks July 16th.

Web will launch the night before the 16th to give a sneak peak. Second teaser video just launched on the FaceBook page today. Looking forward to hearing what you guys think of the Axiom line up!

I had to go hunting for that second video, it must have really snuck past me when it was posted. No matter though, more waiting to endure

PS: Being one of missions 5000 friends on facebook is awesome, updated so often :D

Just went up today.

I just recently switched to the tour tabu skates, and after seeing the new line from Mission, I'm so glad that I did. The tech hardly changed and the entire "T" line up of skates is ugly in my opinion. On a brighter note, the new pants look like they will be dope, I'm a huge mission pant fan.

After looking at the skates again, I actually like them. Im also glad that they are built off of the supreme last because I can actually wear a Mission now. I dont know if they will trump my One95 anytime soon though.

Mission hit an absolute home run with this line. The skates look sick, and perform even better than the look. The toe cap feels better than it did in the boss se, and the comfort in the ankle and heel is like no other skate Ive ever worn (ice or roller).

Isn't the toe cap the same as in the Boss SE?

Yeah, I'm pretty sure they stuck with the anatomical toe cap.

I'm just wondering how different these are than the Boss SE's (which are probably my favorite skate I've ever worn).

I'm really curious as to what the liner material is. The clarino liner on the SE's is fantastic.

Maybe I'm nitpicking but I much preferred "Mission" being on the chassis than "Hi-Lo", looks cheap to me. Other than that they look great I think.

Looking at it, it's the same toe cap... But like I always have problems with the area where the toecap attaches to the boot rubbing... With This skate I have not had that problem. Not sure what they did, but they feel great. As far as the liner, it's a little different than the clarion of the boss se. It's similar, but I feel like there is sort of a grippy feel. Your feet feel nice and snug in the boot.

They probably widened that part of the boot but kept the anatomical toe cap. You'd be surprised what a few milimeters will do...especially for my wide ass feet!

Thats great to hear. My big toes have huge bumps from my One95 toecap being too narrow.
