Prostock skate sizes.

Recommended Posts

This may help for the future sales. The devils skates were hard to tell was size they are. So I compared the runner sizes to mine. and this is how they followed.

Elias 280

Rolston 280

Zubrus 291

Parise I believe 254

If you guys know anything toward team skate sizes post please.

280- 9 or 9.5

291- Probably a 10.5

254- probably a 6 or 6.5

note that a lot of NHL players use larger holders than retail. So the actual skate could be smaller than I listed if they had a bigger holder put on their skate. Also, this is assuming they're D width.

At the Devils sale the RBK Skates had the size on a sticker under the skate and a tag attached to it. The Bauers and CCMs had the size written on the bottom of the skate, underneath the footbed (if they had footbeds)

He's listed at 5'11' but I think he is shorter, size 6-6.5 is perfectly normal, look at a guy like pronger, iirc he had like 6.5d skates.

Pronger has abnormally small feet for his actual size.

I would say most males are 9.5 or larger in shoe size unless you're extremely short. 5-7 or less

I read somewhere (trying to find link) that 90% of men are 5'8''-5'11'', 5% shorter than 5'8'', 4% are 6-6'3'' and 1% are 6'4''

I stand by my assessment that Pronger plays the way he does because he's skates are 3 sizes too small. Try wearing skates 3 sizes too small, you'd be an asshole too.

The most common shoe size for American men is in the range of 9.5-10.5.

Its Disappointing that most pros wear a 9.0D/E and 9.5D Because they're 280 holders. I would kill for a pair of 8.5D/A pro-stock skates with 272 LS2 mounted if the price was right.

I have D. Sedin's skates and for someone who's 6' 1" he has tiny skates. All of his skates I've tried on had 272 holders. I feather the toe caps in the ONE95 (feels like size 7.5-7.75) but for his Total ONE it fits just right (I'm a size 8.) Henrik's are the same size but fit a bit narrower.
