Vapor vs. Supreme Skates

Recommended Posts

I'm getting new ice skates soon and wanted to know if there is a size different between vapor and supreme skates.

Right now I wear a 6 in x60s and I'm looking at totalONEs or the LE one100s, so would I be a 6 in those too? I would try them on, but my LHS doesn't carry high end stuff and the closest shop is 3 hours away.

thanks

As has been said ad nauseum here, Vapors and Supremes each have distinct fits, so chances are if one line fits you the other will not. If in your mind that statement doesn't render your sizing question moot, without trying them on there is no way of knowing what size you would be and no one from the internet will be able to accurately tell you.

I wear 6.5 One95's that fit perfectly, but I would have to go up to a 7 in the Vapor based on the X:60's I tried on.

I just went from a 12 ee one95 to a 11.5ee x60 and the vapors fit like a glove!

The 12's felt good when I first got them but as they broke in they got too sloppy!

I tried on one80s I just couldn't remember what size they were since it was a while ago but they felt better than my x60s now basically any bauer skate feels good on my feet I just want a stiff boot and my x60s broke down too fast, but I'm pretty sure it's because I skate everyday.

my exp with vapor was bad. for my flat feet and low arch, its killing me. And now using supreme line, lower arch, but not quite good for flat feet(with stock footbed). By the way, still can't believe that no Reebok with E width in Sweden. Damn...

I thought that, yet you still see people showing off their new X60's and One95's on here!

the two skates aren't so drastically different. I know someone that switched comfortably from one95's to x60s and he said he didn't notice the difference.

they're different, but they're still skates and they'll still break in.

I've been told the Supremes fit people with wider and larger volume feet better than the Vapors.

That usually means either one, or both, skates don't fit that well. Once someone gets the "perfect fit" they never forget the feeling. Unfortunately, we'll now have a couple dozen posts from people that claim to be the exception to the rule.

I thought I might have been in the wrong skate in my supremes, but after skating the x60's I realize I was just mis sized. I had arch pain today. And I am not even busting out of the skate. I do wish the supreme line had a heel cup like the vapor's and a little more flex in the boot as well.

if supremes are stiffer than vapors then that is the skate for me. I love having stiff skates, for me being such a small guy it's weird how fast I break my skates down considering I'm 5'6 135 haha

I am not sure wether they are actually stiffer but I think they are a higher cut boot. So they feel stiffer to me. If you leave the top eyelet undone in my well broken in(five days a week 8 months weighing in at 300lbs.) one95's they feel about the same as fully laced up brand new x60's.

It is the only way I can explain the way they feel.

In that case, I would imagine you will notice a big difference in the skate and might even skip the top two eyelets.

In each skate's stock width, the Vapor would be more suitable for a narrower foot.

Thanks. I remember reading that different models of the Vapor (X:60, X:40, etc) don't all fit the same. That may have applied to the Bauer Supreme series though, I don't know.
