kovalchuk71 212 Report post Posted September 14, 2010 Suprisingly, today my Mission T9's came from Bauer (early) which was great. VERY comfortable skate. Did not have any issues with fit coming from the Supreme One95s. Looks like a solid skate. Ankle pads feel like "air pockets" which is the only weird thing I noticed. That and the skates arent wrapping around my foot as well as my One95's did, but I will chalk that up to them being brand new. Looking forward to using them this weekend. If anyone has any questions, feel free to ask. -Chris

thugnation00 0 Report post Posted September 14, 2010 I just skated in mine last night. One bake and they felt like they were broken in while I was skating in them for the first time. The ankle pads, which are easily my favorite feature on Mission skates, are a bit more cushy then before. I plan on doing a full review some time soon.
17D1998 1 Report post Posted September 14, 2010 Is there something I don't understand? I thought Mission was bought out by Bauer (and discontinued)? Or just for ice hockey I guess
ID Rollerpop 4 Report post Posted September 14, 2010 Bauer only discontinued the Mission ice line. The roller line and its loyal product base was widely believed to be one of the incentives for Bauer to make the purchase. Chris and Thug what does the boot depth look like similar to a supreme or more like the previous mission products. kovalchuk71 212 Report post Posted September 14, 2010 Rollerpop, I will check for sure when i get home, but I had zero discomfort in the volume aspect of the T9 and my foot is fairly high volume
Gefiltefish 9 Report post Posted September 16, 2010 Rollerpop, I will check for sure when i get home, but I had zero discomfort in the volume aspect of the T9 and my foot is fairly high volumeWould you say that the new Axiom's lace up lower than that of your typical ice boot? It appears that way. I have a problem with upper ankle support (I wrap my laces), so I don't think the Axiom line would be for me based on that regard... thugnation00 0 Report post Posted September 17, 2010 They seem normal to me as far as the height of the top laces. On normal ice skates I leave the top ones undone because they are too high for me and I have to do the same on the T9's.
fatwabbit 93 Report post Posted September 17, 2010 based on the info on the website... it says its a Aluminum chassis??? is that right?
thugnation00 0 Report post Posted September 17, 2010 The T9's are Magnesium. T8's and lower are aluminum.
fatwabbit 93 Report post Posted September 17, 2010 ok, my bad... HG has them as alu chassis. What is the volume of the skate like? Similar to any of the Bauer skates or previous Mission models?
thugnation00 0 Report post Posted September 17, 2010 Volume is the same as last years SE and I'd say they are pretty damn close to the one95's/one100's in terms of volume.

Skate has pretty good heel lock as well. I am impressed.

teamblades44 1 Report post Posted September 18, 2010 Hey guys, how do these skates compare to the Bauer rx60's (weight/stiffness/comfort)? Where are you guys getting the skates from? Thanks!
#96 0 Report post Posted September 19, 2010 Hey guys, how do these skates compare to the Bauer rx60's (weight/stiffness/comfort)? Where are you guys getting the skates from? Thanks!I have the Commander SEs and I'm not completely happy with them. The outsole is peeling in the toe area and the fit is just a tad bit off. I think the volume is too much and I have a thick foot. The tongue is too thick and I don't feel like I get a good tight lacing when I play. I have to re-tie at least once a game. I leave the tongues out, but if I were a player that tucked them under the shin pad, I don't know how good it would feel. I don't think there is enough flex, IMHO. I also feel like my ankle isn't completely locked in. Granted, I have a thick heal, so maybe I have to take some of that into consideration. If I had to rate them 1-10, I'd say they are a 7ish. I hope the Axiom line addresses these issues.

#96 0 Report post Posted September 20, 2010 The Axiom is based off of the supreme line, so don't look for them to decrease in volume or width...Interesting. I've been skating in Supreme line skates (ice) for years and I never noticed the "volume issue" as much as I have with the SEs. Just feels like there's too much skate for my foot, and I have a thick wide foot. I never tried on Vapor skates, but I might have to look into the X60s as opposed to the Axioms. teamblades44 1 Report post Posted September 20, 2010 One more question...how do the new Rink Rat "split" wheels feel? I am guessing they are Rink Rat's version of the Addictions. Thanks
#96 0 Report post Posted September 22, 2010 how about the width? volume wise, this year supreme line surely got more volume.. planning to get assasin SE but the shop here only comes with D width..The width is fine, no complaints with that. As I've mentioned, I have a wide forefoot and I had no problems with the Commanders. I first tried on a pair of 8s and I could not get my foot in them without pain, so I went to the 8 1/2s and they fit better, essentially pain-free. But as the skate has the broke in, I'm finding issues with the overall volume. I feel like there's a lot of "negative space" and definitely issues with my ankles getting locked-in tightly. I've also mentioned the fact that I have to keep re-lacing the skates at least once a game, but often more than that. I attribute that to the poor fitting and the thick tongue, which is IMHO too thick with not enough flex allowance.I'm going to get some Superfeets and see if that helps. I've read good things about them and I'm anxious to see what all the talk is about. I was considering getting one of the skates in the Axiom line, but if what I'm reading is true, and the fit is basically the same, then I might just stick with my Commmanders and see what the Superfeets will do. Gefiltefish 9 Report post Posted September 22, 2010 Any clue on if the Axiom line fits and wider in the toe-box area than the old SE line??? I am debating transitioning from Tour, but when I tried on some EE-width Boss SE's, they cramped my toes together (side to side, not against the end of the toe). stock07 1 Report post Posted February 21, 2011 I just got some Mission T9's in a 6.5D. I had Mission He10000's 6.5D before that and they fit my feet perfect. The T9's feel way bigger than the He10000's, I understand they were designed/made by different people. But would a RX60 or RX25 fit closer to the He10000 or the T9? Anyone know?
