New Reebok SicKick III Line

Recommended Posts

hearing lots of positive feedback on the 11k stick from guys who normally wouldn't use it

i'm intrigued :)

Exactly.

I normally wouldn't give retail Reebok sticks a second look, but the feel/balance of the non-grip 11k really surprised me.

Felt the 11K and 9K sticks and I have to say I'm impressed with both of them. I can't wait to get an 11K shaft, I loved the 8K shafts and if the 11Ks are an improvement on them I may be sticking with Reebok.

I used the 11k for the first time tonight, i liked how the stick felt and stick handling was great as the blade of teh stick is very good and you can fell the puck. I thought the stick was well balanced and the matte finish was very good. shooting was a bit of disappointment as this so called sickick 3 did not impress me. My X60 shoots better and the shots pop off better, hopefully next time i use the stick the shots well be better

The Hedman pattern is almost identical to the Bauer Kane or the CCM Thornton....

Could you please clarify the curve depth of the P40 Hedman pattern. Is it the same as the P30 Bergeron with a lower lie?

CCM Thornton is much deeper mid-curve than the Lindros/Kane patern.

By the way, why did Reebok discontinue the P30 pattern anyway?

Thanks!

Are 75 flex sticks no longer available at the 58" length?

Yes. The 75 MED flex is offered in 58".

There was low demand for the original P30 Bergeron so we discontinued it. The Hedman is comparable to a Kane or the most recent CCM Thornton curve.

Ollie, is there a retail curve anywhere close to the pro stock crosby? Is the p34 and p42 the same curve with a different lie?

P42 and P34 are different. The P42 is a shorter blade and breaks right at the heel. It also has a lower lie. Comparable patterns offered by other brands include the Zetterberg and Malkin. Hope that helps.

I saw this stick at the store the other day, it felt great.

I'm normally not a reebok stick fan - due to the fact that almost all their blades start chipping away after a few games. But i'm actually interested in this 11k stick.

Interested in some first hand reviews.

One bad review isn't going to turn me away.

Has anyone seen the shafts with the dual matrix technology, are the forehand and backhand labeled?

Thanks in Advance

Good question, I remember when Inno had the Novious shafts and they were tagged R/L.

I have to ask; What is your most similar pattern to the Warrior Weight/Vanek?

The 8k Sickick II was a great stick, especially for the price. What are the differences between it and the newer 8k Sickick III model?

The closest stick in the new line to the 8K SicKick II is the new 9K. It has similar performance attributes but includes the new Guided Blade Technology and is more durable. The new 8K is close to what the original red 7K offered in terms of performance.

The closest curve in our line is the P36A Spezza.

Is the P42 curve identical to a PM9/Zetterberg or is there a slight difference? Are there any pics of the patterns. I couldn't find any on the website.

Yes. The Duchene and Zetterberg curves are identical.

So the old 8k was too good of a value, therefore the new 8k is not as good?

The old 8K and the new 9K are at the same price point. You're getting a performance upgrade for the same price.

most of our local retailers like Pro Hockey Life are selling the older 8K for $150 now, not exactly the same price point at the moment. Ollie, I want to have a job like yours in the future :D

how is the durability of the Sickick III line? I had 2 of the red 7k's and both didn't make it more than 3 months before they were toast( first one broke during warmups on the first day). I liked the stick but durabilty made me shy away from them along with what i heard/saw with guys using the 10k's and going soft quickly.

I have had the 11K (regular flex, Hedman Pattern) for a little over a month and I love it. I switched from the X60, Kane pattern and I prefer the 11K. I feel that the release is quicker and it does have a great kick to it on snapshots. So far there are no durability issues at all, there is no chipping, not even on the paint job.

Thanks for your feedback. I'm glad to hear you're enjoying the 11K so far.

Is the Reebok 6k supposed to be any good? Bauer seems to have a hold on price point sticks, however, I'm wondering if the new Reeboks price points will have strong durability and performance.

The 6K includes the dual matrix and guided blade technologies offered on the 8K, 9K and 11K. It's also very light for its price point and quite durable. I hope that information helps you make a decision.
