Thanks for your feedback. I'm glad to hear you're enjoying the 11K so far.

The 6K includes the dual matrix and guided blade technologies offered on the 8K, 9K and 11K. It's also very light for its price point and quite durable. I hope that information helps you make a decision.

Thanks for the response. I'll probably go to the LHS to check it out again. May take a gamble and see how it works out. If I buy it I'll make a review

Sounds like a fair deal. Let me know how it goes. Comments are always appreciated.

Ollie,

I have the 11k in a 85 flex and i love the feel of the stick and the balance, the 85 flex feels stiff compared to my bauer x60 87 and my one95 102 flex and i just can't seem to get good shots off with this stick. What is your experience on the flex compared to others?

Has anyone seen the shafts with the dual matrix technology, are the forehand and backhand labeled?

Thanks in Advance

The 11k shaft and blade setup that I'm "getting for Christmas" arrived recently. I saw no indication of LH or RK on the shaft. I asked the same question from the staff member at ice/inlinewarehouse, and they didn't really have an answer for me. I figured I'd give it a shot, anyway.

I totally agree with bostonjuniorblackhawks on the grip. It's super-tacky - perhaps the tackiest grip I've seen, save for an old Kynetyk Reflex. It will take some getting used to. It has a nice feel to it, although I haven't had the chance to put it to use yet. I think it will be a nicely balanced setup. I like the graphics and the minimal use of "loud" colors. Better-suited to an old fart like me than most Warrior stuff.

I'm curious if it will loose some tackiness over time haha. I think it would have better to offer that shaft in non grip if they had to choose one or the other

Hey Ollie, you sold me on the new 6k and I had a LHS order one for me. I've been waiting about a week and I can't wait to try it out. I hope I get it today for some ice time on Friday.

I heard that same complaint from a few other sources. Good puck feel but questionable shooting, that's a surprise to me.

Good question. The reality is there's no industry standard for how stiffness is measured. A "Regular" flex for Reebok, Bauer, Easton, CCM or Warrior can be different. This is also true for lies and even stick weight believe it or not. As such, it's possible that a Bauer 87 flex feels different than a Reebok 85 flex. In my experience, a Reebok regular flex does feel a bit stiffer than a Bauer regular flex. As such, I would recommend using a Reebok 75 flex (Med) if you feel the regular is a bit too stiff for you. This would most likely solve your shooting issue.

I heard that same complaint from a few other sources. Good puck feel but questionable shooting, that's a surprise to me.

As stated in my earlier post, this is most likely due to using the wrong flex. If possible, I recommend trying a stick in a shooting gallery first to find the right flex for you. Thanks for the feedback.

Any update on the 6k? Was working at the shop this weekend and was impressed with the 6k. For the price, I think I may pick one up. Blade had plenty of response when using a stickhandling ball. Good weight for it's pricepoint.

Finally got to use my 6k last night. Great stick at that price point. If you're used to $200+ sticks then I can see your complaint. The 6k plays like a top end stick IMO. Recently I've used One95 two piece, Dolo one and two piece, and a SE16.

Pros:

- Lightest stick I can think of in it's price range.

- Feels and shoots like a top end stick.

- $100.

- The grip feels great.

Cons:

- Might be heavy for people used to higher end sticks.

That's the only con I can think of. My shot is still as good as it was with any high end stick. I love it. I don't think I'll be picking up any other sticks anytime soon.

Thanks for the review. Information on this twig is impossible to come by. Out of curiousity, what curve do you use?

I'm trying to get info on curves and their lies but haven't had much luck.

I think you were trying to ask this:

"Thanks for the review. Information on this twig is impossible to come by. Out of curiousity, what curve do you use? I'm trying to get info on curves and their lies but haven't had much luck."

You included it into your quote of his post so it looked like there was no question...just a quote.

I use a Datsyuk 75 flex. The Datsyuk curve is my favorite Reebok pattern and probably mt favorite overall pattern with any company. I'm not sure about the lie... I'd want to say 5? The curve is a mid/heel.

Is reebok planning on making a slightly open-faced mid curve anytime soon? The patterns that I've seen are all heel or mid-heel. I'm fine with heel curves, and some of them are very fun to work with, but I'm a coffey curve user, and even if it's not a 3/4" curve, I'd like a mid curve with the slightly rounded square toe.

According to the pattern charts the p30 is a nice mid curve, but I have yet to see them for sale anywhere.

PS: A little off topic, I'm using the older 6k model (profeel, the blue and silver 2-piece) and I'm going to throw the new 11k blade in there. Really looking forward to that. Thanks Ollie for being so helpful.

P87A? It's supposed to be similar to the Sakic, which is a mid curve.

Oh also add to my pros... the 6k is very well balanced. Usually stuff in that price range is slightly blade heavy but the weight is distributed well throughout the stick.

What is the difference between the p87a and the older p87?? I have both but cannot find the difference. also is the p87 still available??

Different lie I believe.
