Talbot just laid Comeau out. Sorta a blindside but shoulder on shoulder. Comeau went down like a ton of bricks but was back out not even a minute later. No penalty call.

I think the other difference is Sexton had passed the puck about a minute and half before getting hit. Savard had just let it go and Hunwick was finishing his shot. guys have to stop facing the boards to draw penalties, because it's just getting them hurt. Savard had no reason to turn there.

Savard wasn't facing the boards when Hunwick hit him, he was just in a low position that caused his head to get squeezed between Hunwick's body on the check and the boards.

Lest we forget Comeau going down like a ton of bricks when Letang hit him shoulder to shoulder towards the beginning of the season. Had to get the trainer out for that clean hit too.

Those who live in glass houses should not throw stones.

My comment was based solely on how big a scumbag Matt Cooke is and not about diving — something your team's captain knows a little about. Players like Cooke dont belong in the NHL. These headshots/cheapshots easily could've been curtailed by Bertuzzi being banned from the league for life years ago. That would've sent a message. Sadly, players like him only show players like Cooke that they can get away with being a piece of shit without any punishment outside of a few games suspension.

If someone takes a run at you from halfway across the ice and hits you from behind, you wouldn't get up all that fast either.

Penguins players getting away with dirty plays. What else is new?

Blame the referees. It was one of the worst officiated games I've seen all season and their were errors in favor of each team.

Seems every time the Penguins play the Rangers the officiating is horrible. It's pretty obvious that the league favors the Penguins. Sadly, it's good for business.

My comment was in reference to you speculating an unbalance in league authority. Being a fan of the Rangers who are in the same Conference and even Division I expect you to have a sort of bias towards your team but making a comment stating that the Penguins get away with dirty plays is utter nonsense. At the time Cooke's hit on Savard wasn't a suspendible offense. Was he targeting the head? Yes, but that's how hockey has been played for years. I can't recall anyone ever calling Stevens a dirty player for any of his hits which were alot more brutal. The point is you are bringing up old news and making such assumptions as "the Penguins get away with anything" is overplayed and not true. I guess leading the league in PIMs backs your statement right?
