Nike Pro Football Shorts

Recommended Posts

I have a NB One90 Girdle and I get lots of bruises in the hip area. I compared those Nike shorts with the Farrell ones in the store:

IMO the Farrell ones seemed to be more cushioned. The Nike ones are really stiff.

Thanks for that.

Wearing a football girdle for hockey is simply asking for trouble.

Did you look at the link? It's not a girdle, there are no pockets, I'd wear it under my girdle with attached velcro as core shorts.

Unless he plans to wear it as a shell (which is not the case) I don't see where is the problem?

I wear a Nike dry-fit short similer to that, It will work fine. I use mine for roller but you would have no problem wearing them under most ice girdles and pants.

Also, I feel like the Nike under-shorts wick away sweat better, and keep you a bit cooler than similer items, but thats personal prefrence.

Rather than try and polish a turd, just get pants with decent protection. Layering several less protective pieces really isn't a good way to go.

I really enjoy the fit and mobility of my girdle and if something simple like swapping out my shorts can perfect the piece for me, I would not consider that polishing a turd. I am just doubtful that any offering would feel as nimble as the girdle does while offering amply more protection.

I've worn both girdles and pants in the past and never had any problems with mobility in a quality pant. Sure they may weight slightly more but they also prevent bruises and injuries. Going with additional padding under your girdle will add some bulk and may reduce bruises slightly, bit it is still a Rube Goldberg solution.

I think that was an anti-semitic remark Chadd rolleyes.gif.

Just curious, what are some of your more highly recommended pants?

A prolific artist, Goldberg produced several cartoon series simultaneously, including Mike and Ike (They Look Alike), Boob McNutt, Foolish Questions, Lala Palooza and The Weekly Meeting of the Tuesday Women's Club. The cartoons that brought him lasting fame involved a character named Professor Lucifer Gorgonzola Butts. In that series, Goldberg drew labeled schematics of the comical "inventions" which would later bear his name.-wiki

I guess I expect too much general knowledge from you guys at times, I'll lower my expectations.

Personally, I like the Tackla 9000s because they fit me better than most other brands. A lot of people here liked the mid level tacklas, now mid level Eagles, for the mix of protection and mobility at the right price point.

He's a little before my time so I wikipedia'd and was aware of your intended usage, I think I might've tried to be sarcastic. Thanks for the recommendations, it took my MPB8 to come along until I gave up a long rundown pair of Tacklas in my youth.
