Take a look at Lucic's fight card over his career. I think you'll be surprised at some of the guys he has obliged. Names like Ivanans, Tarnasky, Clarkson, Wade Brookbank, Gleason (we've seen what his hand can do to someone's face), Erskine, Boulton, Neil, Oreskovic, and Orr are all on there. Lucic has faced his share of good fighters and has earned the right and respect to pick and choose.

As for Krejci, someone needs to tell him that he is nowhere near as tough as he thinks he is. Bless him for his effort but he really should leave it to the folks who know how to do it.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong but from what I saw in the highlights, Krejci is actually the one who went after Pouliot and it just so happened that he went after the wrong guy. Honnestly, I had no clue Pouliot could fend for himself, albeit it was against Krejci who's not a known fighter either.

I wasn't trying to say that Pouliot went out and grabbed someone smaller than him. I think most of catchups occurred because that was just who was out on the ice at the time. They're were some mismatches for both sides, but I don't think they're were too large of mismatches

Thanks for doing the dirty work. I will try and treat Lucic with more respect from now on (and I'm not kidding or being sarcastic)

I think a lot of the folks who don't follow the B's will be surprised by Lucic's body of work. He built up a pretty good reputation in his first 2 seasons that he hasn't had too many bouts this season and last.

The only real two fights I saw from him were against Komisarek. We all know how the first one ended and Komisarek was out for a month or two.. or more maybe. Then he went after Lucic the next time they met and lets just say that he wasn't very successful his second time around either and for the record, I have nothing to say against Lucic fighting Komisarek.

They had a good little rivalry going until Komisarek got his shoulder hurt in their tussle. Some folks still think Komisarek isn't that same since that fight.

Agreed, I had that in my message but took it out by mistake while taking out some other stuff before posting lol...

Marchand going after Subban I can understand given the fact that Subban crushed him with an open ice hit the last time they played.

Last night Marchand got the better of Subban for sure. He first dodged a open ice hit that sent Subban flying.

Then Marchand took a big hit from Subban which lead to a goal. Subban took himself out of that play by going after Marchand.

I like what Ryder brings to the game and wouldn't mind him being resigned? What do you guys think?

I can't imagine that they would ever bring him back. He takes way to many nights off. The most frustrating part is the way he played last night. It makes you wonder why he can't do that on a regular basis. He did play good in the postseason last year. Hopefully he will show up again this year.

For the 4 million he makes, Ryder should be playing like he played last night most games, not just once every couple weeks. If he'd take a significant pay cut to come back, say a deal like the one Wheeler signed, I wouldn't mind having him back. Maybe that roster spot would be better used on a young guy like Hamill or Caron though

I guess I don't watch enough games then haha

I saw that missed hit on Marchand and was actually happy of the outcome. I've said it here that skaint backwards into a hit the way Subban does is not only weird but plain stupid. The number one reason being that he takes himself of the play and opens himself to being hit hard or in this case, have a player kind of hip check him and just send him flying the way Marchand did yesterday. He tried that on another player a couple months back, can't remember who and he just went by Subban which led to a goal against.

The kid is exhuberant, he's a yapper, he's got some talent and is spectacular to watch at time but he will have to learn a few things and it looks as though most of those things will be learned the hard way. Like Chippa said, he will also need to answer to his actions at some point to at least try and change that reputation of his. That reminds me of Maxim Lapierre actually who was the same way but with a lot less talent.

Ugly as it gets tonight. I don't know if they were taking them lightly or what. But at times it just seemed like they were going through the motions figuring that Thomas would bail them out again.

They usually play well on the road so hopefully this will be the case the next two weeks.

Rumors about the Blackhawks having interest in Mark Stuart, and he's a scratch tonight. Trade-related or just a healthy scratch?

Considering Stuart has often been lauded for bringing grit and leadership, it seems he'd be playing over McQuaid, so I've assumed he's been a scratch to avoid the possibility of being injured before a trade could be consummated.

Bruins chances are IMO significantly better at going deep in the playoffs. A real PP QB in Kaberle and a good sniper in Peverley who hopefully for Bruins fans should fit right in bring that much more scoring power to the Bruins.

I wasn't a big fan of all the rumors originally. But I think he Has to help. Hell they had Recchi on the point on there power play..... Hopefully he will fit in well, but more importantly he needs to be a playoff performer for this team. At least Chiarelli took a chance & did something. I don't mind Colborne being moved as much because of the (fingers crossed) high first round pick again this year. If the leafs finish in the bottom five then it's another lottery pick. The Bruins scouts have been better the last five to ten years so they should be able to replace Colborne in there system.

there wasn't a whole lot of room for Colborne anyways. Bergy, DK, Seguin, plus spooner and knight

I heard they were converting him to a wing, he's a left handed shot so he would have slotted in nicely on the left side of any of those guys. He wasn't having a great season but he was very impressive in training camp. I think he could have replaced Ryder or Recchi on the roster next year

Yeah I know, all they have drafted the last few years are centers.....

Kind of getting annoyed with Jack Edwards sweating Kaberle so hard, every time the guy touches the puck or makes a pass we have to hear about how he is the greatest ever from Jack. He's a good player but I think Jack should just ask him out and get it over with.

He has to be the worst home play by play guy at this current time. The sad thing is people like him..... He is at the point he makes things up thing to complement guys on.
