Looking for a similar curve

Recommended Posts

I have been wanting to pick up a S19 for a few months now and am stumped. I'm using a Inno. Mogilny, Warrior Weight/Vanek curve for over 6 years now and love it. I'm looking for the closest curve to this in an Easton.

Curve Heel 1/2

Face slightly open

Toe round

Length medium

Thanks in advance.........

Nothing is really all that close, your choice is really down to Zetterberg or Drury and neither is a match.

Yup, the Vanek is fairly unique.

The Drury (know Parise) would be a similar style of curve as it is a shallow heel curve, but it is going to be longer and more open.

The Zetterburg would be similar in that it is a somewhat shallow curve, but is more of a mid-heel and not open at all. It will also have a similar lie.

The Iginla would be similar since it is a shallow curve, slightly open but it is more of a mid curve and not as long as the Vanek.

In other words, you are out of luck!

I believe the Easton curve called the "Darby" (only used on pro stocks or custom runs) would be the most comparable to a Warrior Vanek. You can try eBay or some people that carry a lot of pro-stocks. Its not a retail option though.

I appreciate all the replies. Just confirms that I'm not missing anything. I'll check Ebay for the Darby, thanks for the suggestion. Very frustrating though.... Worst case I continue to do the shaft blade combo's until I find the clostest pro model to what I'm looking for. OOOOOOOOOOr Easton decides to not make 3 different/similar blades and actually get in the game. I mean come on, between the Zetterberg, Heatley and Iginla you have practicly 3 of the same curve.

Just saw the Darby curve and from what I see it is pretty much spot on. Thanks. Just going to have to look for this in the S19. Not gonna hold my breath. But thanks again.

It's a pretty common pro curve. It was also available as TPS P27 and Bauer P89 is something other than an S19 is an option

I just wanted to give that stick a try and see if it was all that. Never used the S17 for the same reason. You know how it is; Always want to see what the fuss is all about and get your own opinion.

I'm actually using a TotalOne shaft and Kronik blade setup now and really like it. I think the shaft is great but may go back to the AK blade. I think it has a better feel.

I dont know if you would agree with me on this, but all the more recent TPS nash curves i've seen are very, very similar to the vanek.

I wasn't impressed with the S17, but that had to do with the flexes not being correct. The S19 I tried at the summer jam was very impressive. I preferred it to the new Bauer, CCM or RBK sticks.

There have also been some Kariya (one of his RH brothers) S19s on eBay that are going to be closer than any available retail pattern.
