warrior and easton lie

Recommended Posts

i'm willing to buy ak27 blade kovalev curve. it's written as lie 5. And for the wood blade, my pick is easton synergy pro zetterberg lie 5. however, after searching for hours, still can't made up my mind about their lie differences because too many pros and cons with warrior lie.

any advices?

note: i've tried recchi curve which i believe have lower lie than sakic but don't really like the curve. Only like the lie.

Warrior measure lies from the heal whereas other companies measure from the mid of the blade. So a warrior 5 is about an easton 6, but it depends on the rocker of the warrior blade.

Yes, rocker is key. I have owned TONS of Warriors and Eastons (including the Kovalev and Zetterberg) and found that the Warrior Kovalev will play slightly higher in lie than a Easton Zetterberg. The Kovalev has a fair amount of rocker to it where as the Zetterberg does not have as much...

You would be better off with a L4 Savard in Warrior if you want to match it to an Easton Zetterberg.

L4 savard will be like L5ish easton? i only buy one kovalev to make its clone on the wood blade but with L5ish.. so, kovalev lie is closer to L5.5 easton then? correct me if i'm wrong...

Isn't the Warrior Vanek very close to the Zetterberg?

Not really, Vanek is quite open which is the opposite to the Zetterberg. The savard/fedorov is closer.

it depends on the rocker of the warrior blade

Absolutely correct, there is no conversion that applies to all of their blades.
