I don't like the shirt tail look at all. It adds nothing to the look of the uniform. How stupid did the back of the Caps jerseys look in the WC with that ridiculous shirt tail? I also agree that the piping stripe often looks idiotic. Finally, I like to watch Dallas play but a jersey with the name and number on the front with no logo at all on the chest looks like cheap house league to me. That jersey should be jettisoned(Razor Reaugh didn't say that, I did).

The irony of so many newer NHL jersey designs is teams going back to their original designs: Oilers, Islanders, Flames. I'm glad the Leafs added the stripe at the bottom, too.

Couldn't agree more, the Stars had great jerseys from the time they arrived in Dallas until the edge system arrived (Mooterus excluded). With so many other teams shifting back to heritage acknowledging ones like you said, I keep waiting for the Dallas brass to get a clue. Would really love to see green become the primary uniform color in Dallas again.

LOVE the touch of white on the neck for their dark blue home jerseys. Stellar!

All in all though, I don't think they look as good as the classic blue and white from the 60's but much better than some of hte 70's and 80's versions of the jerseys. Ugghhhhhhhh.

well, for $35 Canadian for a #16 in blue and $60 for a full pro jersey (with no name or number) in white I'm loving my blue and whites for the Saturday morning and Tuesday night games. I really think the edge jerseys are comfortable and easy to wear, cool and light. They may not look as good but they wear nice.

I agree that when they first came out the tails were a tough thing to swallow. Now I just wear the jerseys and don't care. After about 6 months each of my two retail edge felt light, loose and like a thin, well worn T-shirt. The pro-one still feels like a solid, well done garment. It actually has both RBK and CCM on the tags with a made in Canada tag as well. I'll probably never put on the fight tag.

The piping and new designs (that seem to be getting phased out for vintage designs) are really terrible for the most part, but that's kind of separate from the fit.
