middle ground between sakic/forsberg?

Recommended Posts

looking for a curve that is most similar to a forsberg except with a bit more of a dish or a less aggressive sakic - more specifically a less pronounced heel pocket. i really like the forsberg for stickhandling, passing and backhand but would like a bit more curve to put some more english on the shot...not really interested in a drury type pattern. was looking closely at a gionta and will most likely give it a go. is that a good option?

also was looking closely at the ballistic 52, can someone familar with their patterns give me a bit of a rundown?

thanks very much

My search was for the same thing years ago and I found that the Warrior Weight/Vanik is the best thing to that description.

I was going to recommend the Iginla curve as well. Balistic carries a clone, too.

You mention the Gionta. That's a great curve (I have one actually), but not a good compromise between the two you mention. Forsberg is more of a straight heel curve. Sakic is an obese open face mid. Gionta is a toe curve (exact opposite end from Forsberg). I do like that it has a lot of straight-surface to the face of the blade, though.

Bauer P89 is roughly the same curve as is the Easton Darby pro stock and TPS P27
