Need plastic buttons for garter belt

Recommended Posts

So I lost 2 of the plastic buttons on my jock/garter belt combo after the 1st time I used it. I've been taping the socks and using the 2 tabs that still work, but I'm getting tired of it and was hoping someone on here could help find a source. My LHS basically said "buy a jock/garter".

Thanks in advance for any help.

Old school: take a dime, slip it under the sock like you would the button, attach sock to metal ring on garter belt and it is fixed. This is how we did it long before jock shorts were ever even thought of.

Just keep looking. My LHS has them and ive seen them at a couple other stores, so there out there. My LHS sells them for 50 cents a peice so i would just try and check some other hockey shops. Its deffinatly cheaper than a new garter belt. That dime idea sounds pretty good too. Never heard of it but i cant see whhy it wouldnt work.

This is what I do. I use pennies though.

Tried the dimes. Perfect solution.

Thanks for the Bauer suggestion on the garter, but I prefer jock/garter combo.

I'll keep looking around for the plastic buttons but will keep some loose change in my underwear until then. Cincinnati doesn't have too many LHS's though.

Update: 1/18/2011

So I had emailed PTX/Protex about the missing clips asking where I could buy them and they mailed be 9 new ones @ no charge. Big thanks to Jennifer Gibson & the rest of the folks at PTX.

-they are new, the angle & shadow make 'em look old.
