GoBucky 0 Report post Posted February 7, 2011 Id agree with the others who said sell them and buy skates that do fit. There isnt anything you can do to make skates fit that are too big.
TheHerminator22 0 Report post Posted February 8, 2011 Yeah, there's really nothing you can do about skates that are too big.
goblue9280 33 Report post Posted February 8, 2011 Another option would be to sell them, and then buy the right size.
Cove 38 Report post Posted February 9, 2011 This is why you don't buy shit on-line. I giggle to myself when people complain about sizing when they came into the store to buy something that actually fits. As long as you learn from this and move on, you will be a better person. Hockeydog 8 Report post Posted February 14, 2011 Nothing is worse than skates that are too big. Too big affects performance in a negative way more than any other skate size malfunction IMO. Too small may be bad, but if you can physically get your foot in the boot and endure some pain ( Paul Coffey) you'd still skate better than if you had too big a skate. lsamped 0 Report post Posted February 15, 2011 it seems as if your only option is to buy new skates. Like goblue9280 said, you could sell them but I don't know how much you would get for them.
KasugiDKiller 0 Report post Posted February 21, 2011 thanks guys, yeah i think the best way is what you all said. the problem is im playing in china. there arent much around here for goalies. thats the reason why i was force to buy things online. and yes i bought them base on shoe size which i realize it was stupid really a newbie experience. wasnt really reading a lot then because my coach/teammate didnt do a good job advising me what should be. thank you so much guys
docar15 1 Report post Posted March 9, 2011 WARNING!!!This is not the best option, but, you can't get that much for One55 goalie skates and if yoru money is really tight...If skates fit OK around the ancles and mid foot, but are too long in length, take some cotton balls and stuff them in the toe box. Wear them till length feels comfortable. Eventualy cotton will pack in, add some more. After a little while this plug will take shape. You can take it out and use some glue so it stays in place.Again, last resort option, use it at your own risk. If you use a footbed, like Superfeet, put the footbed in first then do the cotton thing.Good luck.
