Most Memorable Goal

I am new to the game but I have had a few interesting goals so far nothing big and nothing that took alot of skill but i did have an overtime game winner. I just thought it would be cool to hear some of your most memorable goals.

One timer passed from behind the goal line and goalies left as I came down the slot. Up and in. Today if I try I still can't do it on purpose. Felt like the hockey stud but it wore off quick as reality set in.

I had a goal growing up playing out door roller hockey that I can still remember. Our team didn't win a single game, but we tied one game 3-3 in a game where I had a hat trick. the last goal came with 15 seconds to go, I took a shot from the top of the circle as I was flying down the wing, it hit the goalie between his arm and his body, and dropped down behind him. I kept skating to the net and slammed it in from behind him. Our team went nuts and I got dogpiled and it was awesome haha.

Streaking down the left wing(Left hand shot) in Roller Hockey and winding up at the circle and blowing the puck right hand corner! I have never hit the puck that pure before it felt amazing!

Similar story to mine... outdoor roller hockey my 1st year of organized hockey. Team hadn't won a single game all season, last game of the season scored a hat trick in a game we won 9-3. I scored the last goal of the game on an end to end rush from my zone up the left wing (right hand shot) and put a wrist shot top glove off the bar and in. 18 years later and I still even remember the score of the game.

That was my first ever goal when I started playing in Atlanta. Man I miss my Jofa helmet. I'm number 82 btw...

My most memorable goal would be coming off the bench as an extra attacker. I first saved a goal then we went the other way. I dumped the puck in and stood at the blue line. The puck is rimmed around by their defenseman, I pull it off the boards and rip a snapper from the blue line and beat the goalie bar down to tie the game with 2 seconds left and we win in the shootout.

Couple weeks ago I had a game against this team where half of their players didn't show up so the rink owner, a good friend of mine, suited up and played goalie for them. The guy had never played goalie before but was pretty much shutting us down (he had a quick glove and looked big in net). I had a lot of chances to score but he either made the save or I missed...had a couple fanned one timers and a back hand shot into a wide, empty net skidded in front of the net.

After so many frustrating misses, I lined up to take the faceoff and I won the faceoff by shooting towards the net. The puck just kinda floated and landed right under his five hole as he dropped to cover it. Best part was, I was the only who celebrated cause everyone thought it was an easy save.

In peewee or bantam 6 years ago I went end to end. I came in on the right side (I shoot left) goalie was down on one knee hugging his post with a little space under the bar. To this day I don't know how I made the shot to put it in the net.

My first league game goal is definitely my most memorable. Playing D, I made a bad pinch at the blue line and got beat. Turned and burned, caught the streaking winger, and pushed her to the outside and pressured, so she could only get off a very weak shot. Passed the winger who was giving up by now, took the puck that my goalie teed up for me, turned the net and put on the jets. Deked by the forecheck and took the puck all the way up ice. Worked a nice little give and go at the blue line with my winger that came up with me, to get around their stunned D, and buried it 5 hole before the goalie could get set. The bad pinch sucked ass, but I just worked my ass off and turned it into my first goal :-)

Sunday, July 25th, 2010, the day I asked my girlfriend to marry me. We met at a hockey tournament, so I thought it perfectly fitting to ask her, on the ice, before our hockey game. After she said 'yes' we proceeded to get our asses handed to us, 6-2. However, I got a pretty nice goal. I carried the puck along the left boards, turned hard at the goal line, and whipped a shot at the net from about 15 feet out. The goalie reached out with his glove to catch it, but it caught the cuff of his glove, flipped up in the air over his left shoulder, and landed in the net. Most garbage goal I've ever scored, but that day, it couldn't have looked any better.

Oh yeah, and my fiancee then got the other goal. Safe to say, it was the best game either one of us has ever played.

2nd game of best of three series in the final round of the playoffs. down 2-1 with less than a minute to go. i hadn't scored a goal all year, playing a very conservative stay at home roll back on D (i maybe had 10 shots in 14 regular season games, plus 5 playoff games... a bunch of assists but zero goals). earlier in the game i had taken a stupid penalty in which the other team scored the go ahead goal. my team was PISSED at me. anyways, less than a minute to go, maybe 30 seconds... i knock the puck off a wingers stick as he's coming into our zone, i grab it and carry it over our blue line, chip it off the boards past one of their players then right as i regain control, i slide it through the last defenseman's legs, skating in from the right side, one-on-one with the goalie... i'm looking far side, top corner (im a RH shot), so i come in, load the stick and throw it 5 hole. it hits the bar at the back of the net and my team goes f'in nuts. we ended up winning that game in a shootout, then winning the next game in a shootout to take the championship.

i have some other epic/clutch goals, but in terms of emotion and all that, this was pretty cool.

My first ice hockey goal.

On a 3-on-0, a cross-crease pass went from the left, right, to me in the slot. I shot it 5 hole as the goalie was sliding back across.

I finally got my chance after 4 seasons. Buried it in the 5th round of the shootout for the game winner. It was a pretty awesome feeling, especially after coming back from down 5-2 in the third. I'm officially 100% career on the shootout

Probably last night, I went end to end splitting the d-men and scoring backhand. It was nice, especially that I don't get to many goals either.

Hm..I recall a fair bit. My first actual league goal was a garbage goal.

My first hat trick was in Bantam(only started to develop offensively then), slapshot from point, dump in from my blue line and spinorama backhand.

First rep goal in my first exhibition game with the new team, slapshot on the power play.

First end to end goal, even strength, low corner through a screen.

And frankly, I have a new "memorable goal" every day due to floor hockey at lunch with my buddy's so yeah...

During my 1st season & 1st game playing up a division as that team was short players, 3rd period, playing centre in the weakest line. Left wing takes puck to boards behind goal, drops a pass from here, diagonally across face of goals, it gets through the defence, last minute I dive from just in front of slot and deflect the puck at almost full stretch past goalie just inside right sidebar to tie up the scores....I didnt expect the pass to get through the defence, didnt expect to reach the puck, let alone deflect it into goal somehow...all asssss really!
