ThanksGreetzThe 8K Pro is longer. I use the 10K in L, and have tried on the 8K Pro L & XL, and the 10K in XL. My elbow locks in nicely in the L 10K, but it's a bit loose in the XL. I found the L 8K Pro perhaps a bit looser on my elbow, and the XL too big. I didn't try the M, so I can't address that. Your 8K Pro fit may depend on how tightly the 10K L fits you. You might be fine in L, unless you were just slightly too large for the 10K M.
elpresidente99 1 Report post Posted March 4, 2011 yeah i have big forearms so the 10k in Large fit me tight. They fit me great but a little short and the XL are loose. So should i take the Large in 8k PRO

So should i take the Large in 8k PROI find the 10K straps tight on my forearms, too, fortunately, they stretch. If I'd tried on the 8K Pro in M, I'd be able to tell you better, but I haven't. And I've seen some posts on here where guys went down a size, going to the Reebok Pro pads. All I can tell you is that when I tried them on last year, I thought L would work for me. My elbow felt OK, and there was plenty of room for my forearm. If you haven't considered it yet, you could look at wrist guards, as an option:http://www.icewarehouse.com/descpage.html?pcode=ACWRIShttp://www.icewarehouse.com/descpage.html?pcode=BSHWG
elpresidente99 1 Report post Posted March 4, 2011 you are right, those could help, but i think they go a little thick so they maybe limit my wrist movement. DO you tried them??thanks

Tondog 12 Report post Posted March 4, 2011 It might be kind of hard to find an extension with an actual hard shell top but the 8K Jofa 9177's have the soft extensions.

HOPE 0 Report post Posted March 7, 2011 the reebok 10k are way too huge
Jarick 5 Report post Posted March 7, 2011 I went down a size from regular elbow pads to 7k Pros, and I also found the 7k Pros were longer than retail elbows anyway. If you have a really long gap, the 8k Pros would help, but with a shorter gap the 7k's might do the trick.
Viking 1 Report post Posted March 8, 2011 I wear a large 9177. I didn't buy the 10k's, but for what it's worth, I have tried them on, and I needed an XL in them (the large 9177 fit me perfectly). I have bigger forearms as well, so I've had a bit of a hard time finding elbow pads that fit me well. I hate any gap between elbow pads and gloves, and the 9177's are the perfect length, and fit inside my gloves without constricting my movement.
Tondog 12 Report post Posted March 8, 2011 FWIW I have large forearms as well and the Large 7K's didn't fit around my arm like I had hoped. The 10K retail Reebok in XL was way too small for me so that "pro stock" stuff is indeed larger.
