There will be an Limited Edition version of the new X4.0's and they should be available in mid-April. We are the only retailer that will be carrying them, it is an exclusive that Bauer made specifically for Pure Hockey. Let me know if you want more detail, I'm happy to post the specs if you need them (and I won't put any links to our site, my post would be informational only, per the rules of this site). theWB 2 Report post Posted March 13, 2011 Pure Hockey might have their own SMU X4.0LE skate coming out in April. However, Bauer will be releasing a X7.0LE and X4.0LE to the general public (aka your LHS) along with their new vapor line of sticks in the fall. Not sure if Pure Hockey is getting the skate early or if they are making up their own colorway exclusive to them. It is the X 4.0 skate in all black, including the holders. The "regular" x4.0's, along with the rest of the line, will be here in mid-April, depending on when Bauer gets the stuff to their retailers. The "regular" x4.0's, along with the rest of the line, will be here in mid-April, depending on when Bauer gets the stuff to their retailers.so what's the difference between your smu and the regular x 4.0 le? They get a performance and durability upgrade. Also, upgraded quarter package from the tech-nylon to basket-weave nylon. THicker tongue, lighter outsole and these will have the same holder as the One70 and One60 skate. The LE's that we'll carry exclusively will be all black, including black holders. Seems silly for Bauer to release to x4.0 LE skates. If it was an smu in addition to the regular LE wouldn't it be called something else?
