Best hockey tape?

Recommended Posts

Does anyone make a thin width tape, like in the 1/2" to 3/4" range? I like having a lot of ridges, I've always just ripped my tape in half, but would love to buy some tape that already came in a thinner width.

Have you seen Howies soccer sock tape? It is cloth tape with "pinked" serrated edges. Will that give you the ridges you are looking for?

I have this plasticy textured tape

I put this stuff on sometime in high school (1996-1999) and it's still on there

Anyone remember what it's called?

Do they still make it?

Is it "rubber electrical tape"? Kind of an unvulcanized rubber with a peel-off backing? Sticks to itself tenaciously?

Bicycle grip tape is similar..tennis racket grip might be as well.

no, it's MUCH stiffer than electrical tape. I remember when I got it, it was very difficult to put on because it didn't flex well.

It did have a peel off backing though.
