Cleaning visor

Recommended Posts

Wondering what you guys do to clean your visors. Ive got lots of marks and streaks on mine. Is there anything you can use to get rid of minor scuffs?

I was considering putting it in the dish washer, using glass cleaner, or going and grabbing visor spray from my LHS, although that hasnt done much when I borrowed friends in the dressing rooms.

Would any car polish or buffing type of liquid possibly help to remove scuffs and scratches like on a clearcoat of a car? I understand its different, but still. it might work...

be careful with Oakleys as a lot of chemicals will cause problems and ruin the coating.

My newest Oakley visor doesn't seem to even like my AFR spray. Seems to have a different coating on it now compared to my older one I got a few years ago. Much harder to clean with the AFR. Almost feels sticky at the AFR evaporates. Hard to describe really.
