Identify Pro Stock Dolomite

Recommended Posts

Searched to no avail, is there anything like the coding on bauer pro stocks to help identify what a Dolomite actually is? I got my hands on 3 of them, all 3 are different. One is clearly a spyne blade and has some crazy indentations on the lower portion of the shaft and rounded feel, another has a different weave on the blade not spyne and is a very square/rectangular shaft.

I've heard Pro stock warriors are nothing like the retail ones because of how many options the pros are offered. I could be wrong though.

I would find it hard to argue against that with the variety seen in the three I have

Too many people get caught up in trying to figure out what certain model pro stock sticks actually are. Guess what? Often times, they are NONE of the retail models. With the companies that produce these sticks at the pro level, there is so much you can customize past the retail versions, especially with Warrior. So if a company has high end retail sticks "A", "B", and "C", a player's pro stock stick might not be any of those. The configurations that they can choose from with shaft size/shape, flex, various grips, blade materials/stiffness/feels, etc means that the stick is basically stick "D" or "E"... and so on. There's no point in trying to pinpoint which retail model it is closest to because some of them really don't compare to any retail models. Easton labels their sticks on the barcode stickers at the top, so despite an S19 paint job it may say SE16 NHL, but with certain specifications the player makes it may be pretty different from an SE16.

I'm not necessarily "caught up" in trying to figure it out, I mainly was intrigued by the indentations in the lower portion of the one shaft. I wanted to try some different blade patterns, and at the price I paid for the sticks, this was an economical way to do it.

I wasn't necessarily implying it was you, but rather that some people are hellbent on finding out what retail model of stick they've purchased.

It's insane because they can look identical down to the weave on the blade but feel like a different brand of stick. It's pretty unreal because I hated the retail dolos and like the pro stocks I've had a lot.

The Pro dolos that I have removed the blades from feel completely different compared to the retail versions that I have converted.

I believe the "indentation" on the shaft would be the spyne tech that was used in the 2010 Kronik no?

That's what I was thinking. That's the only Warrior I've seen those "indentations" on.

I have a prostock dolo (painted as a dolo spyne) that is labeled inside as "p304". Anyone have any insight into whether that is a standard pattern or a custom make up? The stick also has a label with "NILSSON" and the code "BMF3028". Judging from the color scheme, I think these sticks were probably made for Robert Nilsson of the Oilers.

Any info would be appreciated. Thanks!
