warrior franchise pants

Recommended Posts

So I know these are a new product, but I was wondering if anyone had any opinions on them, specifically size? Do they still run large?

I haven't tried them out yet, but I spoke with Joe from Warrior about them. The sizing is the same, so yes, they still run large.

is the franchise supposed to be the top end pant?

Yes it is, it will "replace" the Hustler pants.

This is from the Warrior catalog thread.

Franchise pant has also been tweaked for 2011 - the major change being that it has more of a forward lean from the previous pant.

I currently use a pair of custom Hustler pants and have a pair of custom Franchise pants on order. I was able to take home a pair of Franchise pants for comparison and found there is more to it than just a forward lean.

First off the pants in my opinion do run large compared to other brands. I also think the Franchises run larger than the Hustlers...waist is the same but the legs have a larger opening. This is because Warrior added an elastic material approximately 1-2" wide that runs mid axillary. I normally skate with the zippers open on my Hustlers but will have to skate with them closed on the Franchises. I ordered the 'beefed up' plastics on my Hustler pants and when compared to the retail Franchise pants the padding was identical so I'm not sure if this was a change for 2011. I tried to confirm with Joe at Warrior and he want not sure. The elastic that was found holding the six-pack belly piece is gone on the Franchise. Lastly is the rib protection. This is the main difference in the pant to me. You can see in photos the padding slants downward as it comes around the front of the rib cage. This allows you to lean forward more without making contact with the padding.

Side by side I think I prefer the Hustler design but I have yet to skate in the Franchise pants so only time will tell.

Hey Btell would you be able to do some side by side pictures?

I am waiting for my Franchise to arrive and I did not take any pictures prior. Sorry

Hey, thanks for the info, how/where did you order/design your custom pants?

mywarriorhockey.com

I am aware of the online customizer, but the pant is not available yet; it's still the Hustler. That's why I want to know how he ordered his...did you order overseas?

there are a lot of rumors that the customizer will be updated fairly soon with new products/ options, so eventually they'll be there. If you want to order now I suggest talking to a local warrior retailer. they can probably access the newest customizer forms and get your order before the website update.

Thanks, I actually just put in a request. Just wasn't sure if there was something I wasn't aware of online.

Pants were ordered directly from Warrior. The customizer will be updated...when I don't know. All you need to do is speak with Joe at Warrior if you'd like to order the Franchise pants.

That's who I spoke with to get my gloves...pants underway.

Anyone wanna post pics of their custom Franchise pants? Long story short I can't get my size at all in the retail version, even from Warrior Canada. So I'm going the custom route! I wanna see the stripe options and how the name/number embroidery looks like. Pics of those would be great.

here's pics of mine:

these were not made by me. I bought them off of someone on another board. looks like they didn't do any striping or embroidery but they did do the pro pads and went -1 in the length. I've had the chance to wear them once and loved them.
