I'm a D-man and tape toe-to-heel but I did it only because in my mind I figured when shooting from the heel the puck had to travel against the grain of the layers. After changing my curve quite a bit and starting to shoot from the toe I have gone back to heel-to-toe only because I found it easier to toe wrap.

Renfrew packs them in layers of 9.

I want to say a case of Renfrew is either 81 or 72.

That means the Wings use over 7000 rolls of tape. That would last you a lifetime.

Renfrew is 24-81 depending on the size of the roll. Standard is 81, thick is 24, clear is 36. I think grip is 24.

He does his blade identical to the way I do mine. Even starts it on the forehand side like me and cuts with scissors over the toe. My knob is better though.

He does his a lot faster than I can, but also because I am extremely OCD on how it's done:

I like to go heel to toe and will use renfrew 1" till i reach the toe, and will use 1.5" to finish the toe. I cut two strips and seal the toe then cut the excess using my Swiss Army Knife scissors or medical scissors.

Love the behind-the-scenes stuff. Kudos to the Freep for coming up with an interesting angle on a time that is just waiting for the next round to start. I may rip this idea off where I work.

hmm if you look at the picture above of my taping I taped from heel to toe and skating forward would actually not roll the tape forward
