What are the advantages and disadvantages of Graf skates compared to Bauer skates.

An advantage of graf skates is that it fits your foot type. A disadvantage of graf skates is that it doesn't fit your foot type.

Other than that, they are both quality skate makers depending on which model you get. Try them both on and get the skate that fits you best. The customer service for Graf has been questioned though.

The holder itself isn't that bad. It's pitched a bit too far forward for me though.

Break in on Graf tends to be a bit shorter, but its not a big deal. Go with what fits and feels best. Both are quality skates.

Graf skates are generally cut lower and are 'softer' than Bauer's. Graf's allow a greater range of ankle movement while Bauer's provide more support.

Prime example that defers that idea is the purefly/s500. Very soft boots but they provide fantastic support.

I don't like them either but they are very durable compared to other holders.

When I used them, I liked the stiffness and solid feel, but not the pitch or steel quality.

I think Cavs did. If the support is in the right place, it doesn't have to inhibit flexibility, like those stiff skates do.

One disadvantage with Graf is that if the 735/G35's fit your foot best that they come with t-blades installed. Many prefer conventional holders/steel.

I also find that the toecap is too narrow. I put a Tuuk custom + on my graf because I don't like the Cobra holder. I love the fit and the comfort.

Like Graz said, the graf are cut lower than the bauer.

The Cobra holder is based on the Perfecta holder from way back in the day. But they didn't do a very good job of it.

I've had 3 pairs of Grafs over the years, have never needed their customer support. (just to be fair) I currently have 727s - fit is great for my foot.

yeah well i did, they treated me like shit and mission saved the day, i lost allot of sleep over the way i was treated......
