bros29gladiators 0 Report post Posted July 13, 2011 My son is currently using Bauer one95 and it's time for a new pair of skates. What are the major differences between the Bauer VaporX 7.0 and the Bauer Supreme one 100 LE. Is Bauers claim that the Vapor is more for the quick footed player and the Supreme for the power skater a marketing ploy or does it have any merit? I realize fit is always the first component, but feedback is always good.Thanks.
JR Boucicaut 3806 Report post Posted July 13, 2011 If you're thinking you will be a quicker skater in Vapors and a powerful skater in Supreme, then yes, it is a marketing ploy. The skates are different cuts and different fits. Now that you have the APX and TO being essentially the same guts, it's just a matter of fit.The 7.0 is a traditionally-lasted skate though. MyBoxersSayJoe 134 Report post Posted July 14, 2011 Fit's going to be the biggest difference. You're usually Supreme or Vapor, not really both from my understanding.
IniNew 53 Report post Posted July 14, 2011 What are the fit differences between the APX vs the Total One?Supremes are much wider. Supremes are made on an over sized last so everything about them is going to be a bit wider. The cut of the boot is less aggressive so if you're coming from vapors, then you're going to feel like you're on your heels.
raganblink 82 Report post Posted July 14, 2011 get what fits better... if somehow he can't feel a difference and doesn't prefer one over the other, the one100 will keep him on his heels more compared to the x7.0. the one100 is the same skate as the one95 except a thicker tongue, so he shouldn't have a single complaint from switching...i went from one95s to one100s and took me all about 5 minutes to make the switch.
