Bauer Pro Stock Pants Advice

Recommended Posts

I'm looking to purchase Penguins Bauer Pro Pants. The seller could only tell me that they are standard two piece pro model and there is no model number available. Can anybody give me any info on these. Are these a loose traditional fit like the supremes or a tighter vapor fit.

They are a loose fit like the Supreme line. They might even fit a tad bit bigger than retail. I have an older pair of Bauer pro stock pants (Supreme 5000), and I like the fit of them. Price seems a tad bit high to me. However, if you are a Penguins fan then they might be worth it to you.

I am almost positive that this guy bought all of his stuff at the TSR tent sale and is just jacking up the price, I definitely would not buy them. that being said Bauer supreme pro stock pants have a looser fit compared to their vapor counterparts however they are difficult to break in. Hope this helps.

You'd be correct about the tsr thing. I wonder what he'll do if the gloves don't get up to the $150 he paid for em? Shill bid em up?

Thanks for the info. The pants are gone. Ya everything was too high, but I thought an offer couldn't hurt. If he paid 150 per pair of gloves, it's not looking good for him. He should of listed one at a time. Supply and demand. He origionally only had both sedins and kopitar gloves for auction, and all others were buy now or best offer. He was asking 250 for the blues and hurricanes, 300 for kesler, alfredson, toews. He had a malkin pair that was at 400 that sold. When I saw the gloves going from 250-400, I thought he was crazy, but if he paid 150, then I can see why he's asking insane prices.

You know what, all the pro pants I've ever tested (Bauer pro, Tackla 5000 nhl, Reebok 520, CCM MHP18...) were pretty good and I can't say that there are noticeable difference in protection or comfort. The only problem is to get your size. I had draper's bauer M size, they were bigger then RBK 520s M size...

Yeah, it's pretty crazy. He's got 6 pairs of different Bauer pro stock gloves that all end on Sunday evening (which is the best time, according to some) and a couple of sticks and pants. And other pro stock gloves ending at different times.

The gloves are all hovering around the 30-70 dollar range for now...but you can bet that on Sunday they'll all sell for at least $125 each (plus $20-$25 shipping).

The prices when it comes to pro equipment are driven not by the model but mainly by the name on the equipment, especially when it comes to gloves. They are collectors items.

Well with that kind of new pro equipment, I have to imagine that gear users will set the floor for the price -- willing to grab some new X60s for less than retail even if the worst player in the NHL has his name on them. And then the collector fans will control the ceiling, with it being heavily dependant on the player's name.

How long they take you to break in?

Just picked up a new pair of Supreme pro stocks...They're hella Padded, and can see them taking a while to get soft.
