Gamecenter Live on PS3

I was really excited about subscribing to Gamecenter Live and then watching it through my PS3, but I'm having some issues right off the bat. I was trying to watch the Leafs/Habs game and even during intros, it was playing in slow-motion (but the audio was functioning normally). When I stream it through my PC, I have no issues, and my PC is on a wireless connection as opposed to my PS3 which has a hard-wired connection, so I know it's not a speed issue. Does the PS3 streaming just suck for live games or could it be a different issue?

last season, i heard if you pause the game and watch on delay, it should not have any issues.

It actually ended up working a lot better later on in the game, so I think either the stream was just overloaded or something, I'm not sure. I tried your suggestion when I was having issues and it was still playing in slo-mo, so I think it was something on their end, but like I said, it ended up working better after the 1st intermission. I was actually very surprised at the quality of the stream once it worked right, it was pretty much like watching it on TV (in HD no less)

I had this last year and loved it. excited about being able to watch it on my phone this year as well. Maybe the problems you had was just tech issues for the first game. Everything was smooth sailing last season.

Just got this. Love it. Only watched 2 games so far. One last night around 1am, one this morning around 10. It was slower during the second game, but still damn good.

Really need an HDMI cable for my PS3.

Am also loving this on PS3 and PC, totally worth the $20 a month. So many cool options like the archive games going back 3 seasons and the classic games for all the teams, just rewatched Gretzky's 802 game for the first times since it happened live when I was in 4th grade. Also love how every game is HD, I have Verizon Fios and they only show 2 games concurrently in HD, not all like some providers. Really happy with it so far.

Is anybody watching the Colorado/Columbus game on Gamecenter? I heard there was some blackouts of this game for some reason, it's on Gamecenter but it looks like they're using the feed from the Jumbotron at the arena, kinda funny

It was blacked out for Center Ice and NHL Network had only Jumbotron video for the highlights. I'm guessing the Blue Jackets were blacking it out for their local area?

No, you order through nhl.com, and then you need to buy the Gamecenter Live app on the PSN store ($10, free if you have Playstation +)

Living in Norway this is a life saver, and watching live and any game from this season has been great. Only minor problem I'm hoping someone can answer. I haven't been able to access the NHL Vault, it wants to bill me 5 dollars a month. I thought it was suppose to be included in the 160 dollars I paid for the season?

It would have been good if it could have been on the xbox 360 but since i have it on my computer and a hdmi cable it works. I was watching the Sharks vs Ducks game on friday night it litterally felt like I was in SJ because I was getting what they had for broadcasting the game. It is so worth the 20 a month if you dont live in the state where you favorite team plays. Also if you want to follow your fantasy hockey players as well.

I run only 15mbps connection and audio always out runs the video, sometimes video never smooths out/ cycles in and out of hd and will cycle to parts of the game already seen, seems like the most popular games are usually blacked out, if you run a samsung smart tv, theres no option to turn off the scores displayed before watching the game, and you will have to link the device everytime you use it, I generally use it on ps3 and its better than going through a smart tv which suprises me, just a small heads up to some issues Ive had. Not all games are available to watch the entire game.

Has anyone been having trouble with their PS3 Gamecenter the last few days? It's been working flawless for me since the start of the season but the last few days I've noticed the game has stuttered and stopped a lot more and then last night I couldn't watch and games and the same tonight. I can log into Gamecenter on my PS3, see the games, chose one, but when I try to start a feed, it gives me an error saying I can't log into the server. Same if I try to see an archived game. However, I can watch it just fine on my PC.

Any ideas?

No idea what's causing it but I'm getting the same error message thru my PS3 but it's working fine on my PC and Ipod...hopefully it gets resolved soon.
