Anybody ever use SBK equipment?

Recommended Posts

Sherbrook Hockey (SBK) is used a lot in the SPHL and their gear reminds me a lot of Warrior. Decent brand without the marketing = not overpriced.

$150 for a 420g stick is a good deal. I tried out one of their sticks but they do tend to call them "Sherbreaks". May still be worth trying out.

Haven't seen the latest incarnation of their product, but everything I've seen in the past has been less than impressive.

I own three pairs of gloves and a pair of pants and they are like warrior equipment. everything has a lot of padding. Their sticks are nice I also have two of them they seem to stand up to a beating. If you want any other info just ask I use my SBK more than my RBK and Warrior equipment.

Warrior pants have less padding than just about any other brand at the same price points.

The length is the same as the RBK 7K's they just seem to have a bit more protection in the thighs. I have the Riot I like them a lot they seem to be a big roomy in the waist compared to any other pants I've worn in the past.. I've blocked several shots and the padding is like pillows you don't feel anything and their supper light.

Hey what ACHA team do you play for?

Any clues on the glove and pant sizings? Any comparisons to other brands size wise? Nobody carries SBK around where I live so I can't try them on. If it helps at all I'm coming from sz 48 Tackla 9000 pants and 14" Warrior Creepers.

I went off of this rant before, but here you have a group of players willing to try a product. But how can they expect us to when

- the products aren't in stores to see and feel

- there are no reviews online

- their website doesn't give any specs or descriptions beyond "awesome" and "pro" and "perfect"?

Go with the TEAM HG NYLON they are comparable to the Warrior Bullys or the go with DK19 HG they are comparable to the Franchises.

If you want a good pair of gloves like the Creepers go with either the TEAM HG or the SKILL they run about the same size wise. As for as pants I would go with a medium just to give you a little extra room

I agree with this 100%. I would like to see some size or comparison charts up on the site instead having to get the info from customers. Little things like that make me hesitant to order.

Finally got a sizing chart for the Riot/DK9 pants after a bunch of long and confusing emails from John at SBK. I can't post the picture from my phone but I'll post the sizes.

S 76-81cm, M 81-86cm, L 86-91cm, XL 91-97cm, XXL 97-102cm.

I didn't get much info on how long they are or about the padding. Hopefully I'll get some more answers soon.

they usually respond on their facebook page. The gentleman I dealt with was Jimmy Waite Waite- jwaite@sbkhockey.com and I never waited more than a day and a half for a reply. I have the Skill elbow and Shin gaurds and the team gloves that look like franchises. the gloves are 14" and have slightly narrow fingers and are a little snug but I find them comfortable.
