Warrior Stick help equivalent

Recommended Posts

Hi All,

I bought two dolomites off a mate with a smyth curve on them. I think they are 5 lie as well. (They are a bright blue.) He bought them in the states and never used them didn't like them.

Just curious as too what matches this now in a warrior stick so I can get as close to it as possible. I ended up really liking the stick and would like to keep buying it.

Thanks in advance.

The Dolomite was replaced by the Dynasty just for this holiday season. However, you can find Dolo's on clearance online and possibly at your LHS (they all vary, so no guarantee). Older model Dolo's are also quite common to see online, so you might find the one you are currently using. However, the Smyth curve has been discontinued at the retail level and are hard to find, especially if you are RH and like lower flexes. The only place I've seen them is randomly at an LHS or two around me. You can get it on the Warrior customizer though, in either a custom Widow or Dolomite.

I use that stick as my backup. It is actually a lie 4. I would say the closest thing would be a mojo with a gionta curve. Macdaddies were at the middle in terms of price point, at that time. The mojo is basically one step down from the dolo which was what the macdaddy was.

Thanks for clearing that up I'm at work so couldn't check the stick.

Ok so did a search and it seems the Dolo spyne would be a good replacement stick. I'm not worried about the price. Gionta is a toe curve and smyth is mid?

smyth details (9/16"/14mm toe curve, Lie 4, rounded toe, closed face)

So ignore my post about it being a mid.

so based on charts the kovalchuk is the closest in terms of numbers?

The Gionta is a 4 lie closed rounded toe curve, but the curve is a little milder and is more of a true toe curve than the Smyth. I'd still say that's the closest current curve. The current top of the line Warrior OPS is the Widow and you can get that with grip.
