Best stick for $

Recommended Posts

Depends what you consider by "best stick for $".

Personally the TotalONE is a workhorse, insanely durable and best performing for me. But its expensive. What price point are you looking for?

Pro stock or closeouts from last year. You can get a lot of performance for $100-$140.

If I had to recommend a current ops in that same price range - try Sherwood T90, Bauer One80 or Easton 65S.

if you are talking about a stick that you will find in a pro shop i would say a Sherwood T90 or a Bauer Supreme One80. Stastny or backstrom curve. they will run you around 120

My vote is for the S19 on closeouts. Ive bought three of them now for about $120 apeice just to have them for later. My current S19 has been played for 7 months and is holding up really well.

The Sherwood T90 is a pretty amazing stick, and the price makes it even better.

I've heard great things about this stick

I have a team mate using the new dekree DC 300....he swears by it.....great graphics and extremely light. Does anyone have any info on this stick? I have also heard people talking about the new Base sticks?

If I wanted a cost-effective option that performed well, I'd consider either a Dolo or AK27 two piece setup. Lots of good prices on those now.

Id agree with the others who said to buy a discontinued or last year's model. You can often get a really nice stick for a fraction of what they cost when they first came out. Personally, I just buy $30-$50 wood sticks and call it a day, although Id probably go with a lighter composite stick if I ever got more serious about hockey. As a adult D level player though, a wood stick is fine. Im probably not good enough yet to get everthing out of a composite stick anyways.

The T90 is a good stick for the price for sure I've had 2 of them and one is currently serving as my backup. However once I picked up the X60 this year on closeout I will have a tough time going back to the T90. Although when the x60 breaks I might try out the Nexon N12. Picked one up at the LHS and it feels great. Decent price too at around $170 US.

Just FYI, there's been plenty of discussion about this issue on this board. For example:

Decided to give the Dekree DC 300 stick a go. Picked one up and have used it for 5 games...absolutely amazing!! Not cheap at $199 but didn't have to pay any shipping. I'll do a stick review after a few more rounds with the timber. Thanks for everyones feedback.

You can pickup a Dragon Dolo for pretty cheap today. Almost bought one twice now and think I'm going to pull the trigger on a shaft so I can mess with some different curves.
