New Mission Skate

As I saw on an old post, Just and JR have mentioned a new Mission skate that will be coming out in the near future. When I was at the DU/Minnesota game last night I noticed two things. One, between the two teams I'd say 75% were wearing S500s, if not more. And two, Ryan Potulny was wearing a brand new Mission skate. I didn't have my camera on me (wish I had) but it was a really sweet looking skate. It had horizontal type lines to it, somewhat similar to the Vapor XX, but it was a black and white skate. I've tried to find a recent pic of Potulny's skates on the net, but no luck so far. Can't wait to find out more on this new skate...Justin can you tell us when the release will be?

Yes, the L7.

I have a pair. My pair is actually different from the final version. My pair has a similar look to the Helium (especially the back) but the new one looks more traditional.

They looked like thin horizontal or angled lines to me...and the definitely looked white/black, not like the grey at all (comparing to say, the S300 grey stripe). Wish I had my damn camera on me.

I know you aren't allowed to give out too much info on them, but how do you like them so far compared to your s500s?

I prefer the S500.

I find the L7 to be a little too tall for my taste. It is a very comfortable boot however.

Keep in mind I have been skating in low-cut boots for the past 7 years.

Yeah, I'm intersted in trying a pair of missions out, I just don't know if it'd be too hard adjusting. And I'm kind of worried about the protection.

Anyways, I can't wait to see this new skate when it comes out.

Yeah, these new skates are more for the traditional crowd as far as height goes. Those that found the S/PF series didn't give them as much ankle "support" as they wanted should like the new skates.

The new skates "pretend that they're dead"... ;) I've been wanting to say that for so long... :lol: (old song from the early 90's from a band called L7)

so, JR, when the finals have their release at the expo, can we see pictures of your demos? I just want to see how they look similar to the heliums.

He can post them after eveyone has seen the new ones...I don't want people to think the skates JR has are the new skates...He has a very early prototype. I belive they are similar to the pair that they guy on Minnesota is wearing.
