Puckfeel - SE16 v. S19?

Recommended Posts

For those of you that really liked the puckfeel of the SE16 and have used the S19, how did the S19 compare? Basically trying to decide whether to stock up on S19's while they're on sale and available or waiting and trying to hunt down more SE16's. Only reason I'm not looking at EQ50's right now is I'm waiting for them to go on sale. Thanks.

if you like the se16 youll probably be dissapointed with the s19. i had a couple s19's that i just hated in comparison to the 3 st's i had before. flex point is different and the blades are trash on the s19, the blades are what ruined the s19

S19's a weird Stick...

Took me a while to get use to flex point. And weird, but feel like the blade get's softer as the game goes on. By the end of the game, the blade feels like rubber.

Im actually thinking about getting an S19 with a Sakic curve, I have a vapor 40 with a p92, the 6 lie is just a tad too high for me so I want to try the 5.5 on the Sakic. I also have a one95 with a PM9 curve, which is a little too flat. How does the s19 weight compare to the one95?

Sorry if this has been covered elsewhere, Ive been looking for a couple days and couldnt find anything.

Thanks

I had a retail SE16 for about 9 months till the blade broke off during a faceoff. Feel and shot was excellent. I replaced it with a pro stock S19 and in my opinion the S19 was even better on shots. The whip and flex on the S19 was just crazy. It broke at the heel 3 months in due to taking it into the boards with the toe... Maybe the eliptical taper is really a boost in performance or maybe it was because I had a pro stock... I dont know. Both sticks were fantastic and I would be happy with either one but I do have to say the shot was definitely better with the S19 for me.

I had two pro-stock S19's and i LOVED them. Unfortunately both are broken. They were 100x better feel than my retail S17's.

My opinion, the SE16 was probably Eastons best stick, but cant hurt to try an S19 you'll get used to it and at $169 a piece at most places on-line its probably worth it.

edit: I liked the SE16 better, the S19 felt a little dead puck feel wise.
