Vapour X60 9D to Bauer APX xx?

A team mate wants to get some APX skates to replace his worn out X60's. He wears a 9D in the X60 and has about 2mm between the heel and the back of the boot when in bare feet and the toes are feathering the toe cap. Can anyone suggest what his comparative sizing in an APX would be? He can't try them on as no local LHS in the country has any in stock and he will have to buy online.

I wore a 9D in x:60 and have been wearing my APX 9D since they came out - they fit perfectly for me. In my case, I didn't notice a difference in size...having said that, everyones feet are different.

I wore a ONE95 and it was a 7.5D and it fit really good and the local shop here told me I should go down a half size, so I went with a 7D in my APX and they fit great. Im not sure why I had to go down a half size but Im happy I did.

You had to go down a half size because Supremes are built on over sized lasts.

In my experience that only applies to width, not length. One of those skates doesn't fit him properly (hopefully his old one95s), or his foot shrank.

That's what I thought but I went with what the told me and the skates fit just as good as my one95s did. One small issue with the tongue but I think it's because theres like nothing to it and when you take a shot off it, it kills.

Also how much space do you have between your heel and the back of the boot when your toes are feathering the toe cap?

Heel to toe am just under 10.75". As far as space between my heel and the back of the boot, I have virtually none...at least it feels that way. My heel rests in the back of the boot. I would say though that my toes don't actually feather the toe cap, they are JUST shy of reaching...fractions of an inch.

Wrong way. First I've realized 9D doesn't fit, second - i've ordered 9C
