Bad quality palms on Prostock Gloves?!

Recommended Posts

Hi evereone!

So, I've bought these ones on ebay, say "hello" to Adam Mair:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/160763587383?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649#ht_1976wt_1397

Before using palms felt very nice and soft

During first practice, when the palms get wet they got absolutely ruined! Alot of holes and hyperextensions on both of palms - I'll post some pictures in the nearest time

How do you think what is the reason of this? It's very outstanding situation for me, usually the process of palms destroying takes more and more time for me, not so quick

How can it happen with pro stock gloves?!

What is the best solution - just repalm? Or what?

Thanks!

this seems to be a common problem on the eq pro gloves. I have seen numerous people with comletely broken down palms in fairly new eastons.

No one should ever complain about pro-stock quality. You never know what specs a particular pro wants. They may not be concerned about quality, may choose lightness or feel over durability.

The same thing happened to my pro stock Easton Zetterberg gloves... Started falling apart after like 5 games...almost unuseable now.

Similar thing happened with Bauer X60 Pro stock. According the guy who repaired mine and is a former equipment manager a lot of pro players prefer the more delicate palms to more durable retail versions. In the pros each player has multiple pairs of gloves and having them repalmed is no issue for them.

For this reason, If you look at "pro stock" junior and NCAA gloves you will often see palm material closer to retail.

The wear looks a little extreme for one use..How you tape the top of your stick may be a major factor..what do you use a layer of sandpaper for grip? I don't go overboard with the knob and use a smaller one then when I was younger..My eastons are holding up good after a year..a little wear on the left palm(top hand)

And most players don't know any better so they end up getting nash palms on their gloves like Adam Mair did.

Can easily happen if the user sweats a ton, because of the way nash palms are constructed.

Absolutely. Sweat is the key

Junkyard is there a palm that is close to nash in feel but more durable? msh2 is too slick for me and it is my understanding that digital is tough to get these days....

So how would you rank digital? When I get my gloves repalmed I want to put digital on them. They were the stock palm on my pro stock warriors, and seemed to last well.
