Bauer APX P12 Curve

Recommended Posts

I just saw on My Bauer they are offering a P12 curve for the APX. Does anyone know if they will offer the p12 in retail model APX's anytime soon? Or is this a custom order only. They list the P12 as Giroux, looks similar to retail Iginla. Anyone have any info? Thanks.

From what I've heard, it is a clone of Easton's Iginla curve. However, I have never played with it do other members will be more informative as to whether or not there are differences between the two.

Based on the catalog, P12 will not be available retail any time soon.

They've been doing the P12 as a MyBauer pattern only since the program started. The lie is just a hair higher than the Iginla and the curve is really, really close to the Iginla. One route you might be able to go is pro stock, I've come across P12's at TSR in the past.

It wont be coming to retail anytime soon, if ever. They have enough curves/flexes at retail already. For instance, this Q4 launch if a LHS bought Qty. 1 of the topend stick in every curve, in every flex, in grip/non, they would have to buy 170 sticks (this is just senior, not INT or JR). 6 years ago that number was around 60 for the top-end stick. Anymore flexes or curves, and that would only hurt LHS's more then help them, there's already too many.

Agreed. I'd have to say it is has a slight less curve than the iginla in the mid-heel area, but very close.

is that a pro stock Giroux, or did you just use the MyBauer?

It is just the P12 pattern but they gave it te name Giroux, much like any other retail pattern. From what I've heard, G's pro stock is very similar to the old retail P10/Shanahan curve.

Someone on my Junior team bought a pair of P12 APX's from a local D 1 college sale, he says he can't tell the difference between the two. As for them being in stores? Doubtful. Probably wont see it.
