Bauer one 60 pants

Recommended Posts

I'm sure they're fine. If you play that much though, you should probably consider going up to the One80s.

I find that with Bauer's lower two models, there's a bit of a cheapness/durability issues with them.

Played a season in my One60s and I have been very pleased with them. No rips or tears, and have a lot of features from previous years higher end pants. Very nice pant for the pricepoint.

Bought a pair earlier in the year. When I got them home and realized the padding was a bit a light in certain areas, especially the tailbone & backside. Brought them back the next day and moved up into a 9k.

I liked the pants, just wanted something a bit more protective.

thanks for the responses. I ended up pulling the trigger on the one 80s. I figure for the extra $20 it might be worth it in the long run. I was just very disappointed in the 5ks i bought earlier in the year, but you get what you pay for i guess.

I know its too late but I really like my One60's. I'm new to the game but I started off in a pair of low end easton's that were just terrible. The belt really needed to be cranked down and which then limited mobility. The leg openings were too small and the thigh plastic was almost flat which made the opening even smaller. So I got the One60's at my LHS. I really like the belt system being on the inside of the pants. That allows you to tighten it enough for them to stay up but without restrictiong mobility. The other feature I like is the construction of the leg openings. The plastic inserts are more contoured to the leg and the zippers are useful when I forget to put my pants on before the skates. What made me go for the Bauers over the CCM price equivalents (Fit 09 I think) was the stretch gussets in the leg openings. The CCM's had a solid line of stitching going accross the gusset which completely defeats the purpose of the gussets. The Bauer's have a few small lines of stitching which hold everything together while still allowing the material to stretch. Overall, I'm extremely happy with the One60's so I'm sure you won't be disappointed with the One80's

I just got a pair of One80s and I think for the price you'll be happy. Tail bone padding isn't real great but the hip padding feels good. The mesh gussets throughout the pant offer a lot of mobility and they seem like they'll be very breathable. The stretch gussets are a thinner mesh material than what's on most other pants I own. Haven't gotten to try them out on ice yet but I'm impressed so far.

I was thinking of Switching to one80's or totalone's from my Rbk 9k's. My reeboks are so clunky. How do the newer supreme pants compare in range of motion?

no idea compared to a 9k but i love my total one pants. i dont even notice them and the protection is great

Like some have already said on here, go with the One80's. I have had them for a while now and they are great. Very durable, light weight and great fit.

so I went with the one 80's skated in them last night. I really liked them a lot. A lot more padding compared to the 5ks I had which was nice. I think after I break them in and they aren't as stiff they will be a solid pant.

I know I'm beating a dead horse here, but we've noticed that Bauer's lowest two models do have durability issues, especially those who play at any sort of non-house league hockey (even then we've had warranty issues). For that $80 PP, IMHO you're better off with a different brand (Reebok 7K comes to mind) or bump up to that next level (One80/X7.0). Side note, we've had zero issues with the $100 level and above Bauer pants. None. I use the one80s and they're the best pants I've ever worn that weren't warrior hustler/franchise.

Just checking in here i ended up getting totalone pants, they fit extremely well coming from my reebok's and with a ton of protection. I can move around pretty well and they're light for the amount of protection. I figured as usual the extra 50$ were worth the investment.
