Total One NXG Stick

Recommended Posts

Lightest stick ever. Mid-kick is great for wrist, so-so for slap and not so good for snap.

After four weeks of use, I think it's gone a bit soggy. blade has started to flake a bit at the tip.

While the APX stick is durable that doesnt mean it wont lose its pop. One of my APX has taken its share of slashes, tips, and batdowns and the shaft is great, but if you grab the blade you can hear foam creaking. So keep that in mind.

Bauer has some problems with the production.

I wanted to order the NXG stick but I won’t get one before late December.

It is the same with the Re-Akt helmet and the rest of protective line...

I just have to wait then, I don’t really want to get a different brand then Bauer

hey Fozzie, I spoke to Bauer again via email and they told me that it would ship oct 27 and arrive oct 31, but still no shipping email even! They also did not mention any production issues but it is becoming evident that they do have production issues.... Into the 7th week with no end in sight!

I contacted Bauer through a big retailer, which provides the European Team with their equipment.

They had three weeks ago more requests, then available products.

I hope they can fix this problem. I have to wait for my NXG stick until December.

The Re-Akt Helmet is not available until January.

I don’t want to wait so long for a new stick. I will get the APX in a few weeks. I am sure that this stick will be as good as the NXG

But its a different stick? Maybe I am a diva but I only use a few sticks. I do like lower kick sticks but you arent gonna catch me loving a mid kick as much as an "adjustable " stick like the APX

I know that the APX is different to the NXG. But atm I got only one stick left and the blade is already cracked.

I played with the X:60 before and I loved it. That is the reason why I get the APX.

Better than having no stick at all.

APX reminds me of the S17 it loses its pop after 3-4 practices. The trouble with their new materiel is that the stick can remain in one piece but the feel and the pop will be gone for ages.

When it's new on the other hand, the thing is like cheating. It literally shot by itself, does all the work.. no skills or what so ever needed to drop bombs

Definitely the best stick Bauer ever come up with, performance wise.

TO was a lot more durable (at least those from the series that come in the 2nd year of production).

I have been having a lot of problems with the NXG blades on the sticks. I have purchased 3 of them and they all got soft in the blade and have lost their pop after only 5-6 skates each. Reminds me a lot of the S17 problem back a few years ago as well.

I switched to the total one nxg from the apx cause they didn't have the curve I wanted. After a couple of outings I'm extremely disappointed with the nxg, it has nothing of the feel the apx had. Even with cracking noises my old apx still has a better shot.. Can't believe I wasted 250 $ on a stick that feels like an 80$ pos

I use an apx now and love it.....I really hope the nxg won't disappoint me as it did for you fellas. It is pretty pricey.

Wonder if the one.9 is actually a better stick - a reincarnated one95....

Too bad the season isnt going then those that love the one95 could grab a bunch of repainted NXG's for 100$ :D

Hi guys. I found a review of the nxg stick in the internet from a guy who's using them for a while now and he said they made the nxg shorter than the total one. Is that true cause thats a concern for me. I'm 6'4 and the one 95 for example fits me pretty good. And i would not like to put a plug in a brand new twig and i also dont like the feel with a plug in there. So anything true on that? Thanks

Unfortunately when you are 4" off the size of the average adult male, you have to compromise. Just as the guys that 5'-8" or shorter have to do.

Hi Chadd.

Sure that´s right but every stick i used so far just was perfect length wise. the one 90 one 95 all those where perfect.

I just was wondering why would they produce shorter sticks with the NXG.

Thanks

It's not shorter. It's 60", the same length as the One95.

Broke one of my TotalOnes last night and am either going to replace it with the NXG or Nexus 1000. The mixed reviews about the blade on the NXG have me a little worried, and am wondering if I may be better off with the Nexus. Anyone use both after coming from an original TotalOne?

FWIW one of my teammates went from TO to Nexus and says the Nexus is heaps better...again FWIW, he's a forward, takes a lot more snappers and wristers and mentioned a faster release, easier loading

How does NXG flex rating play? I can get a great deal on a 77 flex NXG, I will cut to 84 flex line, how will this feel, stiffer or softer? I currently use a 85 flex warrior diablo and looking for something similar in flex but want to try a mid kick stick....I know a mid kick stick will feel softer than a low kick but worried if I get an 87 flex stick and cut it at the 94 flex line it will be too stiff.
