elbow pads

I think you would need something that has an elbow cap on it. Falling on hard ice is different than a baseball or a football field.

I bought a pair of those cheap on eBay thinking the same thing. After trying them on in my living room, I gave them away. They didn't feel like they'd do anything in a fall and didn't offer much more protection than wearing two sweaters.

Just picked up some Reebok 3K elbow pads 2 months ago. Working great for me. Not much to them, but they protect my 'bows well with little-to-no bulk. No bicep guard.

Those 3k pads are similar to the 8025s I have been using for close to a decade. The straps are better on mine but they are still very similar

Thanks thats all I needed to hear. I'll take it from another hockey player who's purchased these before.

I play ice, not roller, if that matters, though. Harder landing depending on the surface?

I'll strongly second the design on the Reebok 3K/Jofa 8025 Joe and Chadd recommend, too. I have some 9025s that fit like a charm and are barely noticeable.

Since high school, I've had Hespeller elbow pads that just had two straps, no bicep guard. They were fine, could have used a little more padding in the elbow area, but they smelled absolutely horrible. I've been looking for a while, saw the 3k's in the LHS and bought them. Anything with a bicep guard feels bulky and restrictive to me.
