narrowest / tightest gloves

Recommended Posts

i'm 6'1" and 160 lbs. i'm always trying to find the tightest fitting gloves since i have thin hands. my current rbk 9k gloves fit good when i first bought them 3-4 years ago but are really stretched out now.

what are the some of the tighter fitting gloves? i see the warrior franchise offer narrow fit, but i dont think i want to spend over 200.

fyi, my lhs's have small selection. i'll have to order online.

Look towards the Bauer Supreme line, Warrior Projekt/Koncept, Reebok's current KFS line, Eagle Talons, Easton Stealths etc, etc,

In addition to those already mentioned (I'd second the Bauer Supreme/Warrior Projekt votes) and add any Tapered fit glove by TPS. R8 and R10 are fairly easy to find.

You could also consider adding a second layer to the backhand pad in your 9K's to make them tighter.

i'm thinking of going with the warrior projekts unless they have really long fingers.

Shorter fingers than the Supremes, imo.

I actually MUCH prefer the fit of my projekts, I'm just not a fan of the cuff (interferes with my elbow pads). I wish the cuff had just a tiny bit more flare to it.

just got my projekts. thanks for the recommendation...these are by far the tightest gloves i've ever tried on. my only disappointment so far is that i thought the gussets were mesh but they only appear mesh. oh well. i can't wait to break them in.

Good call. I love mine, except for the cuff. It interferes with my elbow pads. I'm betting that's because my elbow pads are too big, though (fat guy arms means going up a size, but that means they go down my forearms much farther). That's my guess at least.

remember that theres a finger length difference in the gloves mentionned above, I love tight fitting gloves but i hate long gloves.

Can you (or anyone else) expand on this? My local shop has a very limited selection of Warrior gloves but the 13" Remix gloves they just got in fit fine. I'm currently in 14" Easton S5 gloves and have always felt they were too big (long) in the fingers. I've been able to try on the CCM Pro Series that Perani's carries as well as the Bauer Supreme One60 -both in 13" and again both felt great. I was leaning towards the CCM Pros because of the flared cuff but I've seen the Warriors (2011 model) go on sale for the same price and from what I hear, better protection.

Unfortunately, it's a 5 hour drive 1-way to try on gloves again so I'm looking to get more feedback on the finger length difference that was mentioned.

Picked up a pair of Nexon 8s and absolutely love them -- very tight-fitting. FWIW my fingers fit Warrior Franchises perfectly, are too long for Eastons, and fit pretty well into Bauers.

Personally i do not like the fit of the ccm u+12 and cl (my guess would that it is the same fit with the pro), fingers were way too long for my liking.

Try the gloves with a stick, play a bit the stick and maybe a ball, thats how i can tell if the glove is too long me.

Total one gloves are very tight imo.

Agreed, I was using supreme series until I found the warrior projekt and concept. Even tighter than supreme.

So I pulled the trigger on Projekts today. I've spent the past week trying to figure out whether to get those or the CCM Pro Series from Perani's. In the end what sold me was the plastic inserts in the Warrior gloves (Bones System). The fit for the most part felt similar enough and the cuff was different but I didn't feel it would affect me since I'm a lower-level beer leaguer. Thanks for all the info and I'll post some feedback after I've had them a bit. Gotta say that Dante from Perani's in Livonia was a big help in this too.
