Hey everybody. I made my local rink's travel team. Just telling all of you, I'm feeling pretty good. This is my first real travel team, as I have played with some mediocre teams for a tournament or two throughout my hockey experience. Heh, it's awesome because this team is real good, and I'm up there at the top. Bash me if you want, this is my first topic in a lonngggg time. Hello all!

Team Skatezone out of Lake Worth, Fl. I know because I found out recently that we are on the same team. :D

17 and under, thats all I know as of now...

Yeah, that's pretty much all we know--just plain 17u. We will be playing at a tournament up in Port Saint Lucie at Thunderskate on the weekend of 1/7-9/05, so I guess we'll find out for sure soon.

Man, Team Skatezone. My buddy Chase Deiner used to play net for them, and another friend of mine played for them too. Is Dane Johnson still around there? And Terry Gaspar? Man good times. I used to play for Team Extreme out of Weston some time back. The Thunderskate holds good memories for me too, I played my first travel game there, *sniff*. Man, I always hated playing at Disney. The atmosphere is cool, but the rinks themselves are WEIRD shaped and just feel like garbage. Give me some names of the kids on that team, maybe I know some of you. I also remember little Shane Reias or whatever his last name is and Blake Johnson too, but I know those 2 play for the Everblades. You guys need to bring a team up here to GA, we are having some WinterNationals tournament here down the street from me, it would be cool to see some Florida teams. Free stay at my house, NOT.

Nah I still have my frames. I have just ran out of boots to put them on. I could always order a pair of S500s and use the old boots for roller.

A part of me the other day wanted to turn S500s into a roller hockey skate. But I wasn't sure how they'd hold up. That's what's keeping me from turning vapor XXs into them, if they breakdown that quick on ice, I can imagine what the heat could do.

Blake Johnson, yeah I know of him. Ever heard of Vinny Leonard? I'm pretty sure he played on the Everblades, but then turned 18. That kid was amazing, I haven't seen him in a while, but I do know his sister still.

The team is consisted of (to the best of my memory) Mike Theifault, James Bonodono (I'm pretty sure my spelling was way off), Abdulla Dajani (this kid doesn't play much travel but is really good, amazing stickhandling), Briggy (Mark), me, the Katen bros-- Justin and Kyle, Nick Ross, this guy named Jeremy as goalie, and the rest I can't remember.

Yeah, that's true I guess.

The new guy coaching is Bill Ross. I don't think anyone has really heard of him, he's never coached any big teams (big as in you probably would have heard of, I guess), but he's pretty good. He's the father of a kid on the team--Nick. I've known the guy for a good 3-4 years.

We'll definately introduce ourselves to anyone who is at a tournament with us. Hah, the only reason me and Briggy even recognized eachother from the boards was because he was wearing a ModSquadHockey shirt.

Mine are holding up very well on sportcout. They have minimal "floor burns" but besides that, theres absolutely nothing wrong.
