its still nothing compared to what i'm going through with my novius shaft. i can pretty much just blow the paint off, it comes off that easy. doing the candy cane tape job on the shaft, and removing it did a serious number on the paint job, removing an exact candy cane of paint

My R+ hasn't had any problems but I barely use it.

I like my R+ and i've only had slight paint chipping and I use it 24/7
