Lightspeeds. Easier to change hollows, better feel for the ice, more consistant, wider range of things you can do (hollows, profiling).

T-Blades (in my opinion) aren't worth it because they only last a little bit longer than regular steel and nowhere close to the advertised time, and the major selling point with T-Blades is that they last a long time. They only last a little longer than regular steel but it costs a lot more to replace them as opposed to just getting your regular blades sharpened. I suppose if you only play once or twice a week they'd be fine, but if you're playing everyday it just wouldn't be cost effective to have them.

ive skated on t-blades for almost a year now and there ok. The wow factor is now gone and i must say the only time there heads above other holders is when u first change the runners. I am considering putting cobras back on my skates but i love to t-blade look and i spent allot to get them. There great if you cant get good sharpinings and have a lhs that stocks runners and stablizers, other then that....not much greater then any other holder.

T'blades only go up to 3/4 or 7/8s, I cannot remember, and I am on a much shallowed hollow. They did save me a bit of money, but the options were limited. Only M-11 and M-13's were carried in my area. I think they are better than a bad sharpening, but if you have a good sharpener, the T'blades just don't compare. I think my skating has improved since I removed my T'blades.

Light Speed with Perforated Runners

love them :))

I'm a pretty small guy, and I snapped a good four or five of the perforated runners...

I like the T'Blades. While I didn't notice much change in speed, I do feel as though I can cut much tighter and harder and without losing an edge nearly as often.

T'blades are a horrible investment. I found the M-11 hollow going dull after 6 ice times. I found no performance enhancement and furthermore, the lightspeeds on my grafs are MUCH better. The feel of the ice, like Eazy said, is better too.

Yes you can put light speeds on your Grafs, however, make sure the person that is doing it KNOWS what they are doing or you may suffer the consequences of a bad riveting job.

this is why I want them.. I recently dislocated my finger because I lost an edge.. haha.. but I turn very tight, and fast most of the time.. and I like a shar deep dig in my skate :D

i think that they should make something like a t-blade for goalies :D :D :D but would have to be much stronger because if they took a really hard shot to the plasic it might break

mh ....

when u want tblades for it won´t got the light weight...

the t´blades are so breakage/breakable....

What causes the rattling?

Screws inside aren't tight. I had it tightened on the left, then the next practice my right started up. It's just a matter of me getting the right drill bit and going at'er. The blades are tight, its just an annoying sound.

I bought Graf G35’s, which came with the t-blades. I gave them a good try out, but in the end have decided to take them off in favor of conventional holders/steel. See my review of t-blades:

http://www.modsquadhockey.com/index.php?sh...t=0entry78053

My honest opinion is that if you can get a decent sharpening in your area, conventional holders are the way to go. As Eazy said, the ability to have a radius done and change hollows from sharpening to sharpening are pluses of having conventional holders over t-blades.

Overall t-blades only make sense only if you have no one in your area capable of providing a quality sharpening.

im actually a huge fan of tblades, i love the feel and glide, and you actually get sharper turns in my case cause the steel is harder giving a "harder bite". The runners last a month at 4-6 times of hokcey per week, so almost 20 times. I really like they way they are designed, and with my cobras, i used to have to get them sharpened after only 1-2 hours of skating.

i don't know if the hardness steel has much to do with the bite, it might just be that the blade is bending more and it arcs better with the ice(kind of what razor blades tried to do) than with traditional blades.

Use some blue loctite.

T-Blades were the single best investment we ever made in skates. Period. Not just 100% consistent every time, but the glide helps you stay at top speed longer.

I know I love mine and we now have about 12 or 13 converts at the rink. Mostly kids who got them to be cool or different. TO THE MAN, the skating has improved. Is this because no one can sharpen skates in our rink...maybe. But with the results I have seen and feel, changing TBlades is no option.

I did try my old GRAF's with COBRA's. Yeah, the boot is just the best. Maybe heavier than all the other new guys, but nothing fits better. But the difference between the two was night and day. Maybe if I used the GRAF's for a while I'd get used to them again...but why?

It's like curves, shafts, yellow laces, black or white tape. Find what suits you.

Oh yeah, the most important thing is using the 13, 15 or 18 hollow's; in my HUMBLE opinion.
