koho vector shaft

Recommended Posts

I recently bought a Koho Vector shaft and was wondering if anyone had any info on them. I figured it was rare and worth it for $35.00 . Thanks for the help

My guess is you're talking about the Vector DRC from the mid 90s. I used them for years till they were discontinued, loved them. It's a pretty standard composite shaft for the time period. Different colors were different flexes, red was mid-stiff, blue was stiff, and yellow was x-stiff. Koho made a lot of great shafts back in the day and this was one of them, had great feel and loved the way I shot with it.

I liked the finish of those shafts but they had a tendency to be a little fragile. I liked their sticker at the hosel end that showed when the shaft was heated enough to remove a blade.

I still have a red one that I haven't used in years. It's pretty stiff and very heavy compared to any other shaft I've ever had.

I found it on ebay I was looking at a Titan 10000 shaft but the bidding got a little to steep so I figured I would see if I could find any Koho sticks.

The Revolution DRC? As far as I know they were the same thing, just with updated graphics. At least they felt the same. The Titan 10000 also felt the same, except for the obvious shape differences they offered.

They definitely were a bit fragile, but most composites at the time were.

The Revolution was the next model they came out with, I think it was the same shaft with a slightly different geometry.

Louisville and Bauer had durable composites at the time, but THC and Innovative were a bit behind.

I think the revolution I had was a DRC but I'm not positive, it was a stick I used in the 90's lol. I am excited to try out the vector now if I could just find some old school Titans!

The only other Revolutions I remember them making were the wood sticks (awesome) and then the, ugghuhhuh, yellow OPS around 2003/4.

Ahh. I was watching the Titan auction as well.

I placed a bid but had to let it go. Koho did make revolution shafts at one time i think the same colors red blue and yellow.

My next question has anyone seen any blades or can give me advice on a good blade in a Jagr pattern or Koho PP38? I have also been looking for a Vic shaft like Satan used to use.

I was in on the TItan 10000 Shaft too, but bidding got out of hand on that stick. Even when I bought two of those shafts w/ birthday money back 1995 I only paid $100 bucks.

I had a buddy in college who swore by Koho Shafts, had the Vector & Corebeam shafts and they were pretty much indestructible.

4430 or 4490 I think it was, then became the first gen Rbk

I believe the PP38 Jagr has become the P38 Reebok Datsyuk

The Revolution was the follow-up to the Vector, same color by flex look, but it was a little smaller and rounder. I think it was only around for one year as the intermediate step between the Vector and the CoreBeam/CoreLite.

ABS Caps were awesome, at least the pro stock ones. I never saw a retail one to compare it but the shark skin coating was aces.

I never used the ABS Caps was it similar to an inno 1100 polar fibre? I was a big fan of those and Titan ASD Audette model.

Has anyone seen any Nike Ignite shafts recently? Lol I am thinking of all the old sticks I used to have.
