Ccm rbz control skates

Recommended Posts

So I was googling contest to win rbz skates, yeah yeah yeah I know but I'm desperate for a pair of skates, and I came across this site with rbz control skates, and they look like the rbzs with like all of the same feautures but they are half the price. This site also has skates from bauer that I've never even heard of and they look like they are pretty good. So have you guys ever heard of stuff like this before. http://www.thehockeyshop.com/ccm-rbz-control-senior-skates.html

Must of been a typo on them. I mean look on their front page. They have the Bauer ims9 helmet on there and they use the pic of the ins 11 for it as well as having some other misinformation.

But they also have the normal rbzs on their ready for pre order, and look at all the different bauer skates they have, you can't tell me those are typos

Yeah, Source for Sports get SMUs from almost every company, which is what Shift, Velocity and Select are for Vapor, or Matrix, Elite and Accel are for Supreme for example. I haven't seen the RBZ Controls yet, but if they're placed at the same range as the previous U+Control (very slightly below the top end U+ CL), then they're a tremendous deal.

Price is $449.99 for the Senior sizes. It has the hyper glide runner just like the RBZ skates. Also it has the custom support insoles as well like the RBZ. A high end skate with many solid features, a good deal for a skate.

I do notice that they don't mention the materials of the outsole, probably going with something similar to what is on the RBZ 90 or 100.

Still a good deal though, and yeah they only ship to Canada :( any of you guys live in Canada? We could do a relay, I pay, it goes to one of you guys from the store, then whichever one of you guys sends it to me. :)

Wait my bad they do ship to the US but only on select items.

Oh ok, i looked at the link again and now i see it, before it had one of those "ooops, this doesnt exist things." so they are kind of like an variation made specifically for the seller? seems sweet.

And yeah i do love my dt1. ill skip on the deal though because i have two from my widow warranties. im actually keeping one nearly uncut and not using it. i may sell it when the dt1lts come out, from what ive seen.....man those look good!

Yeah, they're tremendously supportive and sturdy for the pricepoint and a good improvement over the previous Control. You would follow the RBZ sizing system, so likely having to drop sizes from what you usually wear. They come with the arch support insoles too; good bonus.

What are the main differences between these skates and the RBZ?

What is the liner made of? It's not the same smooth clarino that is in the RBZ.

Is the outsole a lower grade carbon composite than what is on the RBZ?

The quarter package looks a little different. Anyone know how it differs from the RBZ?

The tongue looks the same as the RBZ.

Is the skate as moldable as the RBZ?

How stiff are they compared to the RBZ?

Heavier or lighter?

Sorry about all the questions. Just trying to find out the main differences between these skates.

Is the fit profile the same as the RBZ?
